Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Top 3 things to do in Pattaya
Emil replied to marketinsider's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
You could always ruin a good walk and play a round of golf. Emil -
Ready, Pete doesn't write these, he just posts them for us. I believe the author is Duncan Stearn. Pete, why is this most recent Nightmarch burried on the 2nd page? Emil
-
nidnoyham, Most of the posts are in the members area. I noticed that you registered some time ago, any reason why you haven't become a member? Emil

I know it says "No bar girl discssion here please", but if you read what is on the open website, bargirls are mentioned. I believe Pete doesn't want any details or pictures on the open forum, so if someone had answered the origianl question like, "I saw about 10 European girls that appeared to be freelancing at Tony's last night" I don't think that would cause a problem. The problem could arrise if someone then followed on and said they picked one up and then went into details. Emil

Airlines I will always be looking for a good deal through their website or another boardmember posting about a good deal here but I will have it booked at least 1 month in advance. Hotels I will beginning checking around soon after my flight is confirmed, but sometimes I will just walkin when I arrive, knowing that it is low season and that I know of other hotel options. Emil

jacko, Nothing wrong with Thai Limo if you don't mind their price increase from 1500 to what others have posted of 4000. I used the khrongfa services this past February for 1000 baht and had no problems. Driver waiting for me when I arrived in a clean late model vehicle. Emil
-
Pete, I've noticed that when I posted an updated review of a hotel that was currently in the system, the "Date of Last Review" doesn't change. Marine Yensabai Mansion and Mikes Beach Resort in the under 1K. Emil
-
It varies from hotel to hotel. Some don't care, while others will charge you a fee for each TG over 1. Emil
-
Maybe they have changed their policy recently, but I recall others saying that the Sunbeam wanted to charge them a joiner fee when they brought back a TG. Emil
-
I don't know about the Flipper, but Mike's Beach on Soi 4 (upper floors facing Soi 4), Inn House on Soi 13 (upper floors facing west) and Marine Yensabai Mansion on Soi Yensabai (upper floors facing west) have balconies with views of the bay. Cost me between 665 and 600 baht/night. Emil
-
I haven't stayed there but have been by the place many times and from the outside it doesn't look very impressive nor do the other 2 Sawasdee properties in that area. However their other hotel on either Soi 10 or 11 between Beach and 2nd Rd opened a new wing a few months ago. Emil

Redman, Val gave you the correct info which I had originaly gotten from him. I was very happy with their service and there was one other small charge for parking at the airport which will very slightly depending on how long he has to wait for you. They didn't ask me for any upfront money. Emil
-
This happened to me twice earlier this month. One was a Buddhist holiday and another was an election and I just kept the same TG. One bonus is no barfine. You can go to a movie, bowling, trip over to Ko Larn to name a few, one day of not sitting in a bar shouldn't spoil your holiday. Emil
-
I used the services of Khrongfa February (1000+tolls & parking) and will use them again on my next trip, if the driver isn't there when I arrive I'll just go the taxi route as I won't be out anything. Emil
-
That would explain why he moved to San Francisco. Emil
-
You guys in the UK get a 1 week jump on us, we don't start until the following Sunday. Emil
-
Jack, Jomtien is a nice place to stay if your bringing the wife or girlfriend with you on holiday or if your planning to stay with only 1 or 2 TG's during your stay. Some guys will stay their even if they are going to butterfly but you will be spending at least 20 baht each way between Pattaya and Jomtien. Emil
-
Jack, There's the Blind Beggar and a few others, but their is no comparison between Pattaya and Jomtien for the nightlife. Emil
-
Dan, I know Cathay Pacific has a flight that will get you into Bangkok around 10:45 in the morning. I don't know the cost because it part of my R/T flight from SFO. Emil
-
These guys advertise a mini bus for 1400 + tolls and parking. khrongfa@ego.co.th I used them on my last trip for a taxi @ 1000 and he was there waiting for me in the arrival hall with my name. Nice and clean vehicle. Emil

Seems to be working fine now. On the 4th and 5th message I received the pop up along with "1" new message. Emil
-
Thanks for the message, what's strange is it was indicated that I had 1 new message, while the other 3 that had been sent to me showed "0" new messages. I guess the problem is fixed now. Emil
-
I just found out that I had some PM's that I was not aware. The old board would indicate that I had "X" number of new messages while this one was showing "0" new messages. Is there something I need to do, or do I just have to look in occasionally to see if I have any messages. Emil

Some of the hotels have rather large security boxes behind the front desk. Although I don't have a laptop, the security box I was given on my last trip looked large enough to hold a small laptop. I also noticed that this hotel had 2 larger sized security type boxes than the one that I was using. Emil

With their Limo service charge up to around 4000 baht to Pattaya, I won't shed any tears if the whole organization folds. With that price increase I tried a new service this past February and it was only 1000 baht instead of the old Thai Limo charge of 1500 and it was better service. Emil
