  1. orientaltaffy, I've been in the Peppermint many times and I've never seen audience participation when they do their shows. Before this latest crackdown the shows I saw were similiar to Happy's. About 8 dancers come out and dance in short dresses without any panties on the 1st number. 2nd number they take off their tops and on the last the dresses come off. You sure your not thinking of Polo. ??? Emil
  2. Colin, That flag he's flying looks alot like the one you have. :) Emil
  3. Iwan, I can't recall any bar in Pattaya where within a few moments from the time I sat down I didn't have a BG or 2 come over and join me, unless it was during the day when the bars only have a few TG's working. Two go-gos that I have been to where as a rule they won't come over, especially if your setting at the stage, are Happy a Go-Go and Peppermint. Emil
  4. LeoTex, Spooky posted last Feburary, so it was only a few weeks prior to March. At first I was surprised until I noticed the date. Emil
  5. I've never had a problem, but I always bring the copy of my confirmation and send them another email a few days before I leave home to remind them. Emil
  6. Fortunately I hadn't deleted the email and clicked on the link provided and this is the site: http://www.staralliance.com/starsurvey/GBSurvey.html Emil
  7. If you get an email from United Airlines or a Star Alliance carrier that your a member about taking a survey you may want to read it before you hit the delete. For taking the survey they will give you 1000 miles, but the bigger bonus is you will get double miles on your next international flight if you fly between 8 Oct and 15 Dec. Survey must be done between Oct 8-22. Fortunately when I booked my flight 4 days ago I choose United over EVA even though EVA was cheaper, because I would only need one more flight after this one for a freebie. Now I will have enough after this next trip. Emil
  8. Zeus, I stopped by the day they opened and asked them their rate and asked them if they had a pool. They told me no pool, maybe they didn't understand my question or maybe they built one in the last 6 weeks. Emil
  9. Iwan, If your arrive at the Bangkok airport around 0900, 1200, or 1900 hrs, you can take the Thai Limo bus to Pattaya for 200 baht. Emil
  10. What I've read, is that it will stay open, maybe for freight and domestic flights only. New airport will be about 55 K's closer to Pattaya and we won't have to travel through Bangkok (making the drive about an hour shorter). The reason they are building a new airport is that they want to make it a hub for other airlines and they needed more gates. If this becomes a reality, look for more direct flights to Bangkok. Emil
  11. Mark, They're owned by the same people that have the Eastiny's. Try emailing one of them for the address. Emil
  12. You might want to try one more time using email instead of the phone. I don't have their email address but I believe you can contact them through their website. www.flippergroup.com Emil
  13. I thought it was going to be an extension of the BTS sky train which would make the trip very quick. Emil
  14. It was one of 100 programs that was available at Mikes Beach Resort. Emil
  15. Here's some info that is on their business card: email: front@dynastyinn.com www.dynastyinn.com Emil
  16. If you don't mind staying in Jomtien, check out the View Tally Villas where you would have your own private pool. The Sunshine Vista Serviced apartments on Soi 3 are guest friendly. Their Executive Suites are less than 2000 baht. Emil
  17. It just opened the end of August. They just began construction of another hotel right next door. Emil
  18. They may be highly desirable, but not always cost effective. If I can get a very nice hotel for 600 baht a night without electronic room safe and the hotels with electronic room safes cost 800 baht a night, thats a 200 per night savings. I stay for 30 days so that a 6000 baht savings. I've never lost a key, but if I did it would cost between 2000-3000 baht, so even then I would save 3000-4000 baht on the trip. In the last 2 years I've spent 6 month in Pattaya and I've never had anything stolen out of my room. Since my bank doesn't charge me any ATM fees, I don't carry much baht on me and hit the ATM daily, so in a way the ATM is my electronic safe. A few times my guest for the previous night went with me to the nearby ATM the next morning after breakfast because I was a little short. Emil
  19. soi6, Give them your AA number and your account will be credited, unless your flying on one of Cathay's special promotions where you don't earn miles. To get a free coach flight from US to Asia on Cathay you need 70K AA miles. In 2000, 2001, and 2002 Cathay ran a special promotion where you only needed 45K, have been looking for it this year but so far no luck. Emil
  20. Vox, It's on 2nd Rd between Sois 9 & 10. Sorry no contact info. Emil
  21. Code Monkey, No pool at the Dynasty Inn, but you could always use the one on the roof of Mike's Mall nearby, maybe find some available talent. Emil
  22. When I arrived last month they never asked for mine, but like BigD, I always keep mine until I see my mileage posted to my account. Emil
  23. I prefer Cathay Pacifc to the others. One reason is the arrival and departure times and another is they have one of the most modern of aircraft fleet. I like the feeling that I'm flying on new aircraft. Emil
  24. BigD, It seems your going to a lot of trouble for the message girl. Can't she just come to your room after she gets off work, but "Up to You". Some good news for you, when I was in FLB in August your Klingon Warrior Princess came over and join me and another hostess. I made casual conversation with her and asked her if she had seen Denny lately because I knew you were in town. She didn't have many kind words for you and I thought I was in trouble for knowing you. This past trip in September I asked her if she was still angry with you and it was an entirely different response. She had nothing but good words for you and wanted to know when you would next be in town. All I told her was I thought you were trying to get back over by the end of the year. Emil
  25. Glad to know that I was not the only one that didn't understand his post. BigD since your staying for 7 weeks this trip have you checked out places that cater to long term travelers. When I was there last month I noticed an ad for Nova Park (Believe they're with Nova Lodge) for 12,000 baht/month. The place looked like an apartment and is located just north of Central Rd and a few hundred meters off 2nd Rd. Emil
