Western price tag? I've found most places in Pattaya that offer Christmas dinner, to exceed western prices. For Americans, the Price of Tigglebitties dinner can't be beat, along with the quality of the food. I've taken a couple of Thai girls to Christmas dinner only to see them eat nothing. Two of the places charged me more than 1,000 baht for her seat at the table as well. If you don't know the rules of the place you are going to, you are better off only going with men that would enjoy a Christmas dinner. It burned my ass to pay for a buffet for a girl that didn't eat a bite, or even ge

What country are you talking about? You are knowledgeable in pension and offshore account laws for all countries?

It seems to be airline dependent. I fly with United and booked a ticket for 36 days, at check in they were not going to let me board the flight with out a visa for over 30 days. I had to do some fast talking to explain that I was going to take a trip to Vietnam and would get another 30 days on return. A supervisor had to approve me boarding the flight. Now my flights originate in Thailand, so I don't have a return ticket. I always get held up while I explain that I am a Thailand resident. Being a Thailand resident, I'm not required to have a return ticket, then show them my retirement vi

Dengue Fever on the rise

I can come up with verbatim. He is not a very good speaker though, Tommy Dee over talks him easily with his misinformation in form of questions. Dr. Ian Corness gets a call from Tommy Dee at pattaya Radio 105 FM to find out more about Dengue fever, the symptoms, treatment and what to expect. http://soundcloud.com/tom-37-3/dengue-fever-in-thailand -
Gyms at pattaya - which to choose?
lovedog100 replied to machinehead's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
For your short time, Tony's would be best. He also has a gym on walking street. Calif. Wow charges 500-1000 baht a visit, depending on how much they think they can get out of you, plus an hour of them trying to sell you a "lifetime" membership. Paying daily in Tony's is relatively cheap. There are some small gyms that pop up from time to time in the area, I don't pay much attention. There was a small gym on soi Bakaow walking distance from soi LK, but I'm not sure if it's still there. I'm sure if you worked out a day at Tony's, someone could tell you about a closer to your guesthouse gy -
I will agree with that. But there isn't an embassy in every city. As I said, I've heard that Phnom Penh has an embassy, however have not seen it with my own eyes, or seen anything official saying that one exist in Phnom Penh. I also have no idea what type of visa is available from the Phnom Penh embassy. Flying from BKK is as cheap as a visa run from Pattaya. Some flights are cheaper. I guess I have to wonder why so many take a van from Pattaya for a 15 day visa, when they could get better flying, and for less. Or why anyone would go on a Lao run, when flying to Phnom Penh would be so m

Hadn't thought of that. They cost me over 4,000 baht so, how about 1,500 baht. LOL, depends what you call new. I've had them sitting in a drawer for a while, but they are NOT USED, if that is what you are asking. I go to great pains to see that there are no used condoms, packages, or even pieces of a package that Jane can find. Are they new?

The best company is a bit subjective. The people you see selling visa runs, are for the most part just ticket sellers. When they make the first Gas stop just after they leave (Thai's never seem to know in advance that they are taking a long trip) you will find that depending on the time of year, there are 4-10 vans full of people. In talking with them, they bought tickets all over the city, for the same transportation company. It was hard to find two people that bought their ticket at the same place. The ticket seller can charge what they want, so some mark the ticket up considerably. Mo

Dengue Fever on the rise
lovedog100 replied to lovedog100's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Agreed. As Jacko said, with a second infection the patient has immunity to one strain of Dengue. The body's immune system starts fighting it's self when immune to one strain of Dengue, and getting another. The second infection is much more likely to be Hemorrhagic with bleeding through the skin, eyes, and internal organs. Ricks statement, seemed to trivialize a second infection, when there should be much more concern. Maybe the South American strains are weakened, or Rick has a very good immune system. Thailand's strains are not weakened. As hard as I was hit with the first bout, I -
Have 200 XL condoms. Most are Trojan Magnum XL and 50 or so Trustex XL. Heading back to the US in a few days, and no need to bring them through customs. Anyone in need of large sized condoms unavailable in Thailand?

From BKK, you can do Phnom Penh by air, or Malaysia by train.

Dengue Fever on the rise
lovedog100 replied to lovedog100's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Dengue thins the blood. That's why those infected with it ooze blood from their skin, and eyes. Internal bleeding as well. I don't care where a doctor is from. if he diagnoses Dengue Fever, then gives aspirin, which is a blood thinner , he is incompetent. Either in his diagnoses, treatment, or probably both. One easy test doctors use when a patient comes in with Dengue fever is, to tie one of those stretchy rubber tourniquets that they use for drawing blood around your arm. They leave it on for a minute, when they take it off there will be a bruise around the arm, right where it was, -
Dengue Fever on the rise
lovedog100 replied to lovedog100's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Your friend didn't have Dengue. Aspirin is never given for Dengue, in fact your doctor (if competent) Will give a stern warning against taking aspirin. Symptoms are fever, head ache, eyes hurt, feeling like bones hurt, fatigue, rash, oozing blood from the skin, eyes bleeding. Expect some or all of the symptoms if you get Dengue. -
With the start of high season, I want to alert everyone that Dengue fever is on the rise in Thailand, and Chonburi, which is where Pattaya is. Dengue fever is also called break bone fever, when your doctor asks where it hurts, all you can say is "everywhere" Dengue is carried by the daytime mosquito. The recent floods have caused the mosquito to flourish. Use a repellent with Deet in the daytime. I got Dengue last year, and it's knocked my dick in the dirt for 10 days. It will ruin your holiday if you get it. It took 6 months of fatigue, for me to get completely over Dengue. Dengue i

I did Shennanagins my first Thanksgiving in Pattaya. What I found was, the Irish know noting of what Americans eat during Thanksgiving. Nor do the Irish cook the same as Americans, even when doing the same dish. Dinner was unrecognizable, It looked and tasted like what a Irishman would think an American would want to eat, and then instruction a Thai to cook it. Oh wait, that is exactly what happened.

You will be killed in your room
lovedog100 replied to Hami123456's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
This is kind of weird. Take a look at reviews of a Marriott, and a Motel 6 in the same city and both will have good and bad reviews, and for different reasons. A woman that checks into the Marriott and the hair dryer doesn't work and it's a big deal. Motel 6 doesn't even have a hair dryer. Some people are nit picky little shits, and others have had a truly bad experience. It's up to the reader to tell the difference. If I checked into a hotel and the toilet didn't work, you could say that you wouldn't go there. Someone else might think that maintenance just hadn't got to it yet, or that -

The BBQ is good, however if you want good BBQ, Kinnaree on soi 4 off Pratumnak has maybe the best BBQ in Pattaya Saturday afternoons. Thanksgiving at Tigglebitties is still the best. You can't beet Newy's holiday cooking. Or the price for that matter.

I agree lighten up. it was not a good funny pic for the same reason that a political cartoon is not. Most people on the board will not understand it, and some will be offended. I have no idea who Fred West is, and don't care enough to google it.

New "gentlemens club" opening soon.

Agreed. Sapphire didn't float my boat. I saw one a bit over weight cutie, and that was it. Erotica seemed to have more ladies, a couple that I would call barfinable. Mamasan put a lot of effort into seeing that each of us had a lady to our liking. She brought me two different girls that failed my first question. "How many baby you have" "No Hab" being the only acceptable answer. I explained that to her, and she tried to talk me out of my preference, then left after she figured out that I wasn't changing my mind. A few minutes later she arrived with a cutie and announced "Lady no hab ba -

For those wanting Thanksgiving dinner in Pattaya. Tigglebitties is having dinner. Last year it was great, so good in fact, that they were turning people away, after running out of food. The American/Thai family that runs the place didn't even get to eat dinner themselves. This year they are asking for reservations, so you will need to stop by in advance. It's 550 baht Directions: Driving south on 3rd road, the first light past Pattaya Thai, turn left, go up about a mile, and it's on the right. If you need to take a taxi or motorbike taxi, call 038-427101 and they will be happy to gi
