  1. When I move, I go and buy big plastic tubs with lids. They store easily because one fits in another, are water tight, and strong. Can't remember what I paid in Pattaya, but in the states, rubber made tubs were as cheap as u-haul boxes. I used them over and over, as well as for storage that was rat proof. water tight, and stackable.
  2. Personally, I don't want the same cubed fried potato's that can be found all over Pattaya. If I wanted English potatoes, I'd go to England. It would be nice if they added hash browns on the menu though. Either way, it's the American fried potatoes that keeps me coming back. EDIT: You should have tried that Tigglebitties scramble that MM recommended. I tried it yesterday, it was delicious, just as he said.
  3. Stop by AA insurance. It's on the soi that runs next to Big C on Sukhemvit. Their number is 81 782 2196 If anyone can hook you up, they can.
  4. Dozens of crocodiles escape Thai farm BANGKOK, September 13, 2011 (AFP) - An urgent hunt was under way near the popular Thai beach resort of Pattaya on Tuesday after at least 20 crocodiles escaped from a flooded farm, a spokesman said. The crocodiles at Million Years Stone Park, a zoo and reptile farm, are thought to have made a break for freedom Sunday when heavy rains caused a mudslide around an enclosure containing thousands of the creatures, said a spokesman for the farm, Suthawuth Temthab. Farm workers and locals had joined in the search for the missing reptiles and he
  5. Soi 17 east of 3rd road. No joke, if you want to try their breakfast, call 038-427 101 and they will tell your taxi driver how to get there.
  6. Wonderful. A revamp of the kitchen is long over due. I'll be looking forward to trying out your new food list.
  7. Cherry Bars Ban Chang bar crawl had two vans full of men today, they even had to turn a few away that had not paid in advance. Unfortunately, I was one of them.
  8. Well that would make sense, after all, you are an American,, in Thailand. Maybe he was trying to tell you is that Europeans don't cook a steak to a customers satisfaction, just expect them to eat anything put in front of them.
  9. Figures. I took the numbers off the Hilton and Marriott websites.
  10. None that I know of. Some of the new gogo's are doing quite well though, at least it seems so on the surface. That is a guess with out knowing the rent, pay roll, and BIB payout. Several are full anyway.
  11. Being able to sneak a lady past security defeats your own security. I want the desk to take her ID card, and not give it back unless they get an OK by me. Either I walk her out, or they call me. There is a big difference in rates. The cheapest rate Hilton offers is 7,920 baht add 1,000 joiner fee and it's 8,920 baht per night. With Marriott you could bump up to the Deluxe Premier, Guest room, 1 King or 2 Twin/Single Bed(s), Gulf of Siam view, Sea view, Balcony, 60 minute spa treatment, and breakfast, for 6,700 baht and save 2,220 baht a day. In addition, you wouldn't have any hassles f

  15. For the money and convenience, it's tough to beat the Honey Inn. It's on Pattaya Thai, just at the turn from Beach road. I can't think of any place else in that price range than has air-con and a pool. you can walk up even in high season and get a room. Draw backs, no safe, they have lockers at reception and you have to supply your own lock, also the doors are not solid wood doors, and you have to remember to lock them when you leave.
  16. Are you joking? Is this a wind up? The girls don't care if you are married or not. Do you have any idea the number of married men that visit Pattaya? Or the number that go home and dump the old, arrogant, fat, bag of wind after visiting Pattaya. Wedding rings aren't an Asian thing anyway, a good portion wouldn't know one if they seen one. Don't give out your home phone number, or e-mail address, and you have it covered. A ring will mean nothing to a bar girl. I'm a guy that went out on his wedding night, I can tell you from experience, not one woman cared about my getting married th
  17. Why even worry about the Hilton? If you want to stay in a higher end hotel that won't give a hassle when bringing ladies back, why not just go to the Marriott? I met a guy in BKK 20 years ago that was there on business, and it was his first time in Thailand. He couldn't get ladies past security at the Hilton without slipping them some cash. His company had booked the room, and he couldn't just change, and sure didn't want to give his company the reason why he wanted to change. When he told me how much they charged him, I was shocked, it was more than I was paying for my hotel. He en
  18. There is no joy for you in Pattaya. About the best you will find is 1mb upload. True has super fast internet in BKK, but it isn't available in Pattaya. While looking for internet, I found faster upload speed, however when reading the fine print, it's within Thailand, it slows way down when going outside of Thailand.
  19. Sometimes finding a handle that isn't already taken is hard. I tried three before I went back to my own standby handle that I have been using for 20 years.
  20. Guess that depends on how much that you have, and the amount of fun that you want to have.
  21. Do you have auto correct on your phone? You may have had some of these problems.
  22. Frosty 7 and Joekicker 6 isn't a decisive win. Frosty when not on his computer leads an interesting life, an honest account of it would be good reading. I'm not sure about Joe, I have visions of... I woke up and turned on the computer, corrected three of lovedogs posts, put Jacko in his place, followed by correcting two VicVegas posts. Had breakfast and went back to see if anyone had answered my posts, replied to Villa's post with an answer that will keep him wondering for a while, added a reply to each of the political topics then went for lunch, got back on pattayatalk and sent a zinger t
  23. Voodoo, show up at FLB bar this Wednesday at 8 pm, there will be a gogo bar crawl led by MM. You will get two drinks for the price of one, and you will not be refused entry to any of the gogo's. Thai gogo owners are the most likely to refuse you entrance, just as they refuse to give a drink free to the bar crawls. The farang owned gogo's that will allow you in, are much more worthy of your hard earned money. You will not only have a good night out and meet some new friends, but you will learn of friendly gogos worth your patronage. Everyone always has a great time on the bar crawls.
