  1. ^^ Saw him loads as well. Recall he always came on stage with a joint and passed it to the first person he saw when he came on stage. I was in Penzance one year on holiday and found out he was playing so went to the gig and got in position and yes I got the joint
  2. 1973. A lot of you will never have heard of this guy.
  3. You tube "United Breaks Guitars" For some reason can't paste the link.
  4. Chester that's a scary article. Sounds somewhat like that King Power scam at BKK a few years ago.
  5. I use Royal John on Soi Diana, had a few shirts made there over the years. Opposite Areca Lodge.
  6. Well that's a surprise. I had about half a dozen meals there in August and thought it was brilliant. Sorry you got crook.
  7. That's good to see. Thanks.
  8. Like the Beach Road cam.
  9. One would hope it was full again after that heavy rain on the 17th.
  10. Hi, How did you go in the floods?
  11. Won't make it Phil, back in Oz. Hope it's a great night.
  12. Interesting thanks for taking the time to post these.
  13. Way back from 1978.
  14. How anyone can be expected to have faith in the Thai justice system is beyond me.
  15. There were renovations going on in Pook Bar last week when I wandered past China Garden may have rooms but the restaurant seems no more.
  16. Great to here a few are enjoying the meals there. I had a simple Mutton Curry (spicy) after the crawl, with a couple of chapattis. Couldn't fault it. Nothing like a good ruby after a belly full of piss.
  17. Adam is celibrating 10 years in the Pattaya bar game tomorrow, Saturday the 9th August. I'm sure you all know where it is but for those who don't it's on Soi Diana opposite Papagayo. Pretty sure it will be a great night.
  18. Must have walked past this place over 100 times over the years and the only reason I have never gone in must have been a bad review I read somewhere. Now I love a good ruby and have been known to eat them daily when I was in Leeds over 30 years ago. In fact one of the things I realised when I did the bolt to Australia was that I would be missing Indian food. (I was moving to the sticks and nowhere near a city or even a large town. Anyway the other day as I wandered past I noticed about ten Indians eating there so I thought it can't be that bad so went in. Was I surpirised, you bet. Just had a standard chicken curry with a couple of chapaties. The waiter asked if I wanted mild or spicy and I said spicy would be fine. It was better than great. Decent sized portions and the chapaties were absolutley perfect. Yesterday went again and got a mutton roganjosh, two chapaties and three popadoms for 345Baht, brilliant! This place will see me a few more times before this trip is over. So if you want a great ruby with out the wait you get at the Tikka Centre give it a go. It's at the top of the arcade opposite the Cherry Bar, next to Papagayo.
  19. Ate there a good few times on my last trip, and looking forward to eating there again in a week or so. Thought the food was good, the prices fair and was not disappointed with the service.
  20. Just noticed the 200Baht for 30 mins WiFi. That's a deal breaker.
  21. Did a search but only found info from ages ago. Anybody stayed there recently. Prices look pretty low. Even their best suites are very affordable. Thanks in advance.
  22. This is what can happen when it rains where I live.
  23. Thanks Jacko, know exactly where it is now.
