  1. Have just arrived last night and staying at the Royal Palace whilst I look for a condo. Bought myself a net-book from Tesco for £159 to keep in contact whilst away as my previous lap top was too heavy/bulky. So checked in and asked about Wi-Fi and they told me 100B per day and thats only in the lobby and not in the room! anyway thought bugger that and went to Tuk Com this afternoon looking for a mobile broadband dongle, most places charging 2000 to 2500B but managed to find one for 1300B with free internet for the first month! with DTAC. Paul

  3. To bump the thread then... Would it be better to buy in Bangkok Airport? on arrival, have never checked the prices there. Paul P.S. Thanks for the replies so far...
  4. Hi, Will be transiting Doha on Monday and wonder which is best for Duty FREE (It will be early in the morning) Aftershave etc. Thanks
  5. Have looked at buissines class before but found it to be too expensive. I would have to do the whole lot business class to make it worthwhile. Have looked but what would be considered a bargain for B Class? Prices at the moment £2600 return B Class both ways! Thanks guys for the input. Paul
  6. Cheers, Found them, brilliant that was what I was looking for. Not on every flight but now I can choose them. Thanks Paul
  7. Thanks guys, So Emirates from Manchester is the only option from the UK. I suppose I could fly to mainland Europe and then on to BKK, at least that would open up more opportunity if I am that desperate to fly it (other airlines)?
  8. I live in the South West UK and am about to book my flight, but this time I would like to try out the new A380. Cost is not so much of an issue although will be travelling economy and not to bothered where I am flying from, so anywhere from Manchester to Gatwick would be OK. Which airline would I have to book with and where from to guarantee the A380? Cheers
  9. Strange... Edit **************** Found it! PattayaTalk does have this tracking code installed on their main home page www.pattayatalk.com. Therefore the reason for the hang is a delay in the connection from your PC to the Google Servers as they store any relevant information! You will find this code on Line 79 of this page here http://www.pattayatalk.com/index.html <script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript"> Edit **************** "Google" analytics's is a "service" provided by "Google" to monitor where traffic originates fro
  10. Not sue if your taking the piss, but I think it stands for Free Lancer Bar! Cheers
  11. I read an article in the Bangkok Post about 6 weeks may be 2 months ago, yes they do! Will look for the link.... Bangkok Post This is not the article I was thinking of though...
  12. Have not flown from Manchester however what I would say is due to the recent problems in the Middle East air fares are invariably going to rise. Either way I would recommend buying your tickets now!
  13. I am aware that there is a limit of £10,000 as far as cash is concerned or at least that it has to be declared, however are there any rules with regards to transfering money from my UK bank to my Kasikorn account, i.e. a maximum amount etc. Cheers
  14. Looks like a babys head and some sort of animal for the rest... whos been shagging what? !!!!!
  15. I have just come back and flew with eva, out on the 15th Dec 2010 and back 19th Jan 2011 for only £539 inc.
  16. I run an online taxi co. in the UK. As an owner and ultimately the one who "farms" out the work to the drivers I like to know personally where the job is going to i.e. via Google Maps etc. either by me knowing the exact address or via a post code that I can look up. If I am still not sure then I will either call or email the customer and ask for more details until I am satisfied. However when I was working the ranks or the cobbles and I picked up a flagger and they asked me to take them to eg. Johns Cafe in the centre of Bath and I didnt know it I would ask them for the address, if the
  17. I think you mean towards the 24hr McDonals on 2nd Road on the right, almost opposite Cosy Bar and Soi 5? When I have passed there it has always been quiet and as you say very few of the bars open... Never seen it busy. The rent there is very cheap as well, I think that says it all...
  18. We are all equal in the fucking stakes! But as I said in my previous reply the only thing that is constant is the BF, after that the LT or ST rate can and does differ depending on - Has said BG had a quiet week, are you handsum, is BG looking at you as a future investment etc. also as joekicker says, Thais will pay way more in Pattaya. The thing that surprised me over the years is Thai girls going to the Issan clubs like the Tamnan kon Isan Club near Hollywoods and possibly paying the bar for a boy there, having said that she may find a farrang she likes there also in which case no BF! plu
  19. Think someone already mentioned this but... Check out the Adverts on a post-cards in Big C, Carrefour etc. generally will find a couple there and also more often than not direct to the owner as opposed to the agent!
  20. I have to agree with that statement ! I had a LT girl friend before here and that was her downfall!
  21. I apologise to the OP but would like to contradict that last statement... I have a Thai mate who comes from the South of the country, male and about 46. I have known him since I first came to Thailand about 8 years ago through a business contact. I have travelled around to various towns and cities around Thailand with him on occasion and we have both taken advantage of P4P outside of Patts and Thais pay along the same lines as farrangs. OK the same rules apply i.e. If you nice handsum man may be they might ask for slightly less but the bar fine if it exists in the establishment still has t
  22. I can understand what the OP said, it doesn't really bother me but if it did would just move on...
  23. LOL hadnt thought that one through! Still it would be nice to wake up in the morning without thinking "Food!" Like you say cornflakes etc. snacks.... I will learn soon enough! Paul P.S. I am finding these last few weeks hell! I havnt been out of the house for a week, cant be bothered! Its like counting the number of sleeps till christmas when you were a kid!
