  1. The U.S. will be very hard to beat at home me thinks Tom and Love has pledged to set the course up with the rough short so it will be a bomber's paradise. Expect a birdie/eagle feast! Westwood's irregular form a major concern for Europe, as is Kaymer's whose game has gone AWOL! Hope they can turn it around. Tiger and McIlroy to go head to head on Sunday? Should be a great show! Poulter will be pumped!
  2. When all the party animals eventually surface can yas post a few pics please!
  3. Get well Mick, Hope you can soon join Jim and the lads on their walks of the town.
  4. What's the motorcycle riders club that hangs out in Kinnaree a lot in the afternoon? Always in leathers, look pretty friendly group to me. If I recall there are a few of their stickers on the back right glass, one says MC or MG or something. Same group?
  5. That vid certainly whet's the appetite. I looked up Emirates web site and punched in a Thursday in September for a rough price. Only 20,000 baht (one way) for the three-hour flight first class from BKK to HKG. So roughly 50,000 yen or around US$620. Not a bad price at all for a special treat on one of the world's best airlines. Martin and Hammer, must be time for a FLB bar crawl to Hong Kong ... :party
  6. Led the boys in there two nights ago. Was well impressed with the gals -- young, fit, and many with amazing tits! Reminded me of the Pattaya of old! Agency gals by any chance? Didn't talk prices as I had company. Will drop by again, maybe tonight ...
  7. Sorry Mobi, just saw this now. Some very good courses in the Hua Hin area. Bit more expensive that Pattaya though.
  8. You could be right Martin but generally speaking "business" hotels, i.e. 2-3 star hotels cost around US$30-40 a night in Tokyo. Decent restaurant lunch about $8, upscale $12-15. Japan Rail Pass is a bargain at $250 for 7 days travel. A range of similar passes also available. P4P? Not cheap! But the local lasses aren't exactly "fussy"!
  9. Idefix, Japan is no where near as expensive as people make it. Many opinions seemed influenced by the "bubble economy" days of the 80s when money appeared to grow on trees ... Those times have long passed. Sure there are expensive restaurants and hotels here but the same can be said for most countries. All sorts of reasonable hotel and dining out options if you look. :
  10. Was cheap for me squire .. only cause I was on the account.
  11. Spent a few days last week in Kyoto and Kobe. Stayed at the Hoshinoya Resort in Arashiyama, western Kyoto. Only regular access is by boat. Scenic entry to the resort Daytime view. Time to chill Kaiseki course for dinner hit the spot! Seared tuna sashimi on a bed of couscous with Cyprian sea salt with citron. Range of rooms, all old-style Japanese with modern creature comforts. Pinewood bath Ride in a rickshaw (great way to pick up birds!) Floating kiosks Natural
  12. No deckchairs, no farangs, no jetskis .... just beaches and mountains ... And a mermaid! Is she topless? Thanks Tom!
  13. Nice pics! But as a resident of an earthquake-prone country and knowing Thai building standards, you pics are as close as I will ever go. At that height the venue must get seriosuly strong winds, no?
  14. That's what I thought. Tom, I thought the 2nd class fare was a few hundred baht one way. Our "sprinter" car was airconned and had a "seated" toilet. Another toilet option is the final carriage often opens up to nothing but the tracks so you could take a squat there. Just hang on FFS!
  15. Highly recoomend the "Sprinter" train trip from BKK to Hua Hin that leaves around 1 pm and arrives just past 5 pm. It's no bullet train but 2nd class is comfortable enough, great views of the Thai countryside and the beers flow. Official train food is crap but every station stop some touts jump on selling decent tucker. :
  16. Ko Larn used to offer a cleaner alternative but it too is getting dirtier.
  17. A regular stop on my last visit. Food more than adequate with a pleasant atmosphere. Could do with some better lighting on the outer tables so you can see what your food looks like and a few ferns and other plants would give the joint more of a "garden" ambiance. :
  18. Thanks Frosty, Sad to hear it has gone the way of the Fuglasour. Place used to have a great lineup. Oh well, that's Pattaya! :
  19. No disrespect to the OP, but when I was in the area throughout February, I did not see any birds in Sapphire Lodge of the quality of the gals in the above pic. At the same time, Kinneree was packed with a tasty totty. So to answer your question Papps, the "feel good factor" and slut appeal was way better. Hopefully things pick up in SL. :
  20. Not last month it wasn't! Scrubber city I tell ya! On the other hand, Kinneree was rammed with quality crumpet.
