  1. Life is good! Had a few lads over to watch last night's games. I predicted 2-2 Newcastle vs Liverpool. Even at half time at 1-1 and Newcastle with 10 men I stuck with my pick. A mate had brought over five bottles of very nice wine so I knew next time I go to his gaffe I would be buying anyway so I took 3-1 for bottles of Barolo on Toon-Kop finishing 2-2. He then wants double or nothing on Spurs finishing the season higher than Arsenal. Sorry Papps, I look forward to sharing the six bottles of B!
  2. Where's the pics? And Shazza from Stoke?! Can she bag a few goals? :cry4:
  3. Serge Gnabry. Compatriot Huth will sort him out at the Britannia!
  4. Yes Lukaku and Sturridge are doing well ...
  5. Loved that one midlifecrisis. Pretty sure I posted it earlier but can't track it down ... "A wanker ... is someone who likes to sit with his thoughts..."
  6. Agree Brat, but we are becoming all too predictable, IMHO. Passing it more is great in theory, and this is where stats can be misleading, but there needs to be some sort of purpose. Final third is dire but we did look better the second half. Cameron and Marko the best of a bad bunch. I'm not convinced "CanWin" is our best starting option. First touch very dodgy, work ethic minimal and very limited control on the ball. At the other end ... Liverpool and Arsenal looking contenders... for now.
  7. Stoke looked clueless in the first half against a spirited Norwich team. We're certainly passing it more this season ... but tonight it was mostly backwards when we should be pushing forward on the break or gifting it to the opposition! Back to the drawing board.
  8. Man U look totally disorganized. Moyes fields mostly the reserves, saving the big guns for the CL game and gets punished accordingly. Fook me days, even Anderson got a run, I mean a trot! Tottenham were decent the first half but in the end were lucky to hold on for a draw. Chelsea looked a different team when Mata came on. Pulis For Man U!
  9. The guy could have been drunk or blazed on drugs. Potential danger. If your a regular in town why not get a few phone numbers from your favorite drivers/riders and ping them when ya need a lift?
  10. Just watching the derby replay. It's 4-0 now it is ... Man City look a different team with Kompany back. Yaya, Nasri, Aguero all having blinders. RVP's absence is huge, but apart from Rooney, too many Man U players are invisible. Moyes has to shuffle the team. What's he owe Ashley Young? Midfield is totally ineffective. Evil Kagawa not happy! https://twitter.com/evilkagawa
  11. RdC the first to go but what about his 14 Samurai with no EPL experience? What a nightmare scenario! An expensive science project for Sunderland. Didn't watch the Manchester derby but obviously a good result for City. Will catch the replay tonight. Still not convinced that Fellaini is Man U quality. Can be brilliant on his day but lacks consistency. Arsenal too good for my boys despite Stoke having plenty of possession. We just didn't know what to do with it in the final third of the pitch. Ozil enjoying a dream start to life in the EPL and Ramsey looks a different player this seas
  12. Dude, you may be offering a different world, as you say, but how about some practical info? Cost? Departure times? Type of boat? Bar on board? Short time facilities available?
  13. No I am not sir. But I did say "on current form." You think either of the above three teams look as good as last year? I certainly don't! Man U lack spark in midfield, Chelsea look disjointed and without Kompany, Man City are vulnerable in defense, IMHO. Let's see if Pellegrini is still with Man City in six months time. Moyes also looks out of his depth. So please enlighten us with your thoughts on the big guns?
  14. Moving right along .... I was impressed with Everton's win over Chelsea. I know it's early days but I just can't see Man U, City or Chelsea winning the title on current form. Arsenal or Liverpool look a decent bet. Just watching the Man U vs. Palace replay. Ashley Young and his antics are a disgrace to the game!
  15. Bratpack agreed of late but against Liverpool we looked awful in general. Onward, onward!
  16. Moyes talking bullshit about Kagawa. Oh he plays international games. FFS they all do at that level. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/338499/Manchester-United-boss-David-Moyes-reveals-reason-behind-Shinji-Kagawa-absence- Really good win for Newcastle. The Toon starting to look like the team that toured Hungary ... Stoke played very well (by our standards!) last night. We kept the ball for long periods, even had it on the deck. Sparky's doing well so far. As Hughes said: "We made Man City look ordinary." Wouldn't be surprised if Pellegrini is the first to get the axe. Pret
  17. That looks the biz Evil. Cooked a couple of lamb shanks myself a few months back. Pretty simple really. http://www.thecookinghusband.com/lamb-shanks-in-the-crockpot/ ( I improvised slightly off this recipe)
  18. Hughes did alright at Blackburn a few years back. He seems to do better with less cash to send so he fits Stoke's demographics! I was against his appointment but he has the job and is doing OK so far ... Onward, onward! Di Canio an obvious concern but it's still very early days.
