  1. One could argue that Kinaree offers more of a relaxed and refined setting than many Soi 6 bars. Plus it's only a five-minute stroll from my hotel of choice. The perfect lunch buffet venue for some!
  2. The main pool at the Birds and Bees Resort (Condoms and Cabbages) works for me -- tropical garden setting, superb ocean views, jacuzzi if ya get cold or want a cuddle. The also have a kiddie pool for the Poms who can't swim!
  3. Can Huskies and other long-haired dogs really handle the heat of Thailand? We used to have a Samoyed in Sydney -- brilliant family dog but summer was tough on her.
  4. Sounds tasty. An address/location may help.
  5. Cheers Frosty! Appreciated! Steveo doesn't look too happy! NOT! Did he actually play? Golf that is!
  6. Frosty, any chance you can post some pics on the site? Especially the one's with Doggie and his beloved banana!
  7. Bollox! Well done Euros, I think dumping Deuce as captain was the key! Time for the big guns next year ... and muggins here! Look forward to the pics! (hint, hint!)
  8. Yes mate but the 18 beers may have something to say about the issue ... Whatever your vitamin of choice, wash it down with a few aspirin. Works for me.
  9. Fook me, some of these "airlines" are becoming petty. Never had weight issues with ANA, JAL or SQ, even with golf clubs, i.e. 30 kilos plus. Is this scam unique to Europe and the US? If so, ask for some of the hosties to shed a few pounds.
  10. Bars need an identity. It's alright telling the DJ to read the age of the crowd but that can lead to confusion. E.g. The bar has a group of teeny boppers in it so the DJ spins some hip hop. What happens if the young ones actually went to the bar to hear blues or some big groups of blues-lovers show up at the same time? You can't please everyone in these situations. Stick to the blues and some classic rock!
  11. Agree, the standard of refereeing has been utter undies. Too many inconsistent decisions where the ref doesn't even consult his linesman before giving a red card for something he didn't see! The trouble is, just as the tournament does not represent the best 32 teams in the world, it also doesn't have the best team of refs in the world either. Every region has their men and many are pants. As has been said for zillions of years now: Time for video assistance. By the time the cheating cunts roll around 37 fucking times like they've been shot in the arse with the elephant gun, bitc
  12. I doubt Sir Alex would swap Rooney for Drogba. Drogs, Roons, Torres and Tevez are all brilliant players. I doubt any of their teams would swap their man for any of the others.
  13. Alf, good luck with the treatment. I should be in Sydney in May if ya fancy a half.
  14. LDK, how could you forget Australia's TWO gold medals! Congrats to the Canucks but if I see another Canadian flag, maple leaf, face paint ... Yeah, yeah we know who was hosting the Olympics! See ya soon for a few Molsons!
  15. The 13-year-old boy enticed the 14-year-old girl by claiming he was 18. She didn't want to be seen with a younger man no doubt. As large as the amount appears for a boy of that age, considering most kids in Japan get "otoshidama" of around 5,000-10,000 yen per close relative every New Year, the amount he had stashed away ain't that surprising.
  16. Can't help but think that if the place was still Lennies it would have survived. Lennies was a popular place to hang, party, watch sports, etc. and had some good food. RIP.
  17. Worked alright here, a tad slow to load at first. Suggest you show more photos of each property to give perspective clients more info.
  18. What's the security situation like Adam? Lovely looking glass doors but they look a brick away from easy entry for some burglar!
  19. Some people should never travel abroad.
  20. Katorisenko mosquito coils work well (in Japan anyway) if you place them at strategic places in the garden/deck. Try to light them up 30 minutes to an hour before you plan on going outside. They last several hours. They are available in Thailand and there are also similar local versions.
  21. How many years you talking back Paps? It had many quality posts several years ago from experienced boardies, guys like London Ricky, Damon, Oscar, LDK ...
  22. Had it many times inlcuding at a BBQ once. Is the Kobe Beef in Thailand certified? KB tastes great but for value for money Matsuzaka is better value, IMHO.
  23. Congrats to the Mistys crew. Sorry I won't be able to make it but I'm sure Khun Solar will sink a few on my behalf.
