leaving pattaya - where to sell my motorbike
steamer replied to jasmineelizabeth's topic in Expat Issues
maybe a rental co. will take it off your hands. Try Pool Hustler -
When in Thailand I'm sometimes very, very happy that I've had loads of shrimp, Other times, not so much.

As a kid, I could never understand the need for reading material in the toilet. You go in and do your business and you're out in 2 minutes which is about the time it takes to find out where you left off and read maybe a half a paragraph. What's up with that? I've finally figured that one out, unfortunately.

I just came back from AC and as some of you know the food choices there are rather limited and iffy. I decided I wanted something different to my usual and since I hadn't had Pizza Hut in years I gave it a go. It was a fuckin' nightmare from their website to their not delivering anything short of a family size pie to the most tasteless cheese-less salty piece of shit I've had in decades. I figured a Tuscani pizza sounded good but boy was I wrong.

Pattaya Beach. OH! Goodness gracious me.
steamer replied to teelack's topic in Pictorial Travel Reports
A good idea but it wouldn't work as the problem is the businesses and the coaches and baht buses. Remove the bike rentals, the stopped coaches, the delivery trucks, the Baht Bus logjam at the corner of Walking street and South Pattaya road and there wouldn't be many issues IMO. They could try metered diagonal street parking and dedicated coach pullouts as a start. -
can't say about crumpets per se but the Loaf restaurant has lots of fresh baked goods. They are on soi Lengkee.

For Rent All New Ford Fiesta Automatic
steamer replied to PoolHustler's topic in Transport in Thailand
I cant get a car without air if I wanted it. No need for it where I come from. ( just like Briton) I figure many cars are 'world cars' and most come with the same basic features. -

I'd imagine it's impossible to get a new car without cooling/heat. -

No vodka in the 'house spirits' promo? -
I arranged a car from one of the taxi stands outside of Royal Garden Plaza on second road. He was to pick me up at ~5 am so I agreed to pay 1100 (more than my regular price) and gave him 200 baht as a deposit. I would normally hire a cab from one of the booths but I had left it too late and they were all closed. Well, he didn't show and his phone didn't work so I walked down soi Diana to second road and found a moto taxi booth and they got me a cab. I gave the moto guy a hundred and the taxi guy gave him a hundred as well as a finders fee. The price of the taxi was 800 plus tolls so 860.

Budget hotel near swampy please
steamer replied to steamer's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Queens Garden was actually ok tho I'd never recommend a stay more than overnight. The bellhop offered a girl for 3,000 but I declined his generous offer. -
When I did my test in Canada I got a demerit for not honking at an idiot.

Just to make it clear, I ordered the frigin' drink that was advertised on the placard outside and when I tasted my drink it I double checked the bin and it was incorrect just as I expected. The girl then returned with the correct name on the bill but didn't change the drink . How's that for service?

Get a license in your own country at a proper riding school and then get in ten years practice first before riding in Thailand.

Soi Buawhat?-A rose by any other name...
steamer replied to teelack's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I use Buakhao myself -
The Loaf on soi Lengkee makes a good pizza.

Never been to Italy but surprisingly, the best pizza I've had in my life was in Sabang Philippines. http://www.vesuviospizzeria.com/index.html Had a few pizzas in New York and they were surprisingly bad but it's too soon to write off the whole city just yet.

Pattaya Pizza opened maybe 3 years ago and they were fabulous. Unfortunately, they went from great to shite to closed in maybe 2 years. Hopf House often gets mentioned for having good pizza but I've never tried it. My friend and I ate there once and what we had was so bad it's hard to imagine that they can do anything half decent. NY Pizza is good and it's my go to place but the last pie was shite. I'm giving them a mulligan however and will try again.
