    I stayed at the Nemo on Diana recently and they have actually upped their prices for low season. Lot's of empty rooms about.

    I can only guess that they are just fine if you don't throw them any challenges and just want a simple to and from the airport but my 3 experiences in the past 4 years were all a bit more difficult and didn't go well. The first one was a very good driver but his car broke down as I've already mentioned. The second one we had a maniac driver with a shitty car who constantly had to call the office for directions within BKK. Rama IV isn't that difficult to find.     The last few times I've poked my head into the office Mr. T. was nowhere to be found, It seems his son(?) has taken over. It's nothing more than a call service and you are at the mercy of their drivers who own their own cars. Expecting help from Mr. T personally is about as likely as having the colonel cook yer chicken. I've been in one of "his" cars that broke down on the way to BKK. It ruined the last day of my hols as a visit to Tulip massage was in the cards but at least I still had time to get to the airport.

    Sizzer is still is the Mc'Donald's of sit down restaurant's whether they be in Thailand or anywhere else. Ohhh, let's go to IHOP for some decent grub. the 8 year olds will think they've gone to heaven. Suggesting that Sizzler is half decent is a travesty.

    I guess some prefer hamburger over steak and don't know (or care) about the difference.

    Atlantic salmon is a different species altogether from Pacific salmon and the Atlantic variant is what's used in the farms even in the Pacific. It's tasteless and doesn't hold together very well. They even have to add food colouring to it so people can recognize it.

    I tried KFC recently and it was ok. It was spicey and perhaps that's what if off-putting to some as it isn't the same as "home."

    One of my favourite places was the Thai "food court" on Klang just 400 meters east of second road on the north side A friend and I would sit and order from the kitchen at the south west corner and we were always impressed. Sadly, the old proprietors are no longer serving their food and not only has the quality taken a step backwards but the new owners have seen fit to raise the prices as well.

    5555555555 I like to barhop and perhaps visit 10 bars a night rarely having more than 1 or 2 drinks anywhere. Spanky's used to be a respite from the overpriced joints.

    I was surprised to see that the airport exchange booths only quoted the lowest (1-2 USD) rates. Not sure what they offered for larger denominations.

    I recall, years ago, that the same item in the states had a lesser warranty than the identical item did in Canada. It was later was pointed out to me that the Americans had an optional warranty and we Canadians were basically forced to buy it hidden in the ticket price.
