  1. So where is this website, and what do I need to do my 90-day reporting online? What do I need if i go into immigruntion in person? Thanks for any info.
  2. Is it really on Third Road? TripAdvisor (which has been known to have out-of-date locations) puts Bar Code on Soi Siam Country Club, not far from Lake Mabprachan. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293919-d10021360-Reviews-Barcode_Turkish_Restaurant-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html http://www.pattayamail.com/diningout/barcode-for-turkish-delight-55801
  3. The meals look delicious, despite MM's perverse orientation I'll drop in one of these days. Hell, better make it tomorrow.
  4. Anal vice, anal vice Pink balloon knot to greet me Small and tight, douch'd and bright Lubed and happy to grease me
  5. Well, there it is. If it's just me I'll bunk up behind a 7-11 and rest my head on an empty Chang bottle if need be, but when you're bringing kids you gotta book in advance.
  6. Exactly. It's all about crushing the little guy. "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
  7. Here's my advice -- they're all thieves. I've gone to tailors recommended by friends, recommended online, and I still get a shit suit. And they're getting greedier now. If you do use an Indian tailor, give him the absolute minimum down payment and tell him if you don't like it you're not paying. Tell him several times. Better yet, get a cheap suit in your home country rather than a tailored suit in Pattaya. You can get "easy order" at many haberdashers, which is a kind of halfway house between off-the-rack and tailored. You're not getting a bespoke suit, anyway, which is not th
  8. Thanks for your help, gents. Yeah, the football game will probably take priority hands down.
  9. Hi guys, The debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is coming up on the evening of Sept. 26, which is the morning of Sept. 27 in Pattaya. I'd like to watch it in a convivial atmosphere instead of on TV at home. Does anybody know any places planning to show it? (Please don't comment on the politics here as this is not the appropriate place according to forum rules.) Thanks for any info.
  10. Andy McNab is great. I'm a Stephen Leather fan myself. Just started one of his latest, True Colours.
  11. Was in Bangkok a couple of months ago. The 7-11 employees were dumping garbage bags on the street at night. Rats were crawling all over the bags. There must have been dozens of them. Made my flesh crawl.
  12. Active Beach? Check. Mice City? More like rats, at least along the boardwalk. World (poontang) Sport (fishing) Destination? Check. World Class Smart Tourism City? No, too many dumb tourists. Asian Super Cluster(fuck)? You bet.
  13. Beer is the importantest! Think about it. Does anyone say, "I'll have another education"? If someone tells you you need an education, you want to pop him in the nose. But if he says you need a beer, you're likely to agree. You get an education to prepare for work, but you get a beer to relax after work. Women and education? Terrible combination. (Think "Gender Equity Studies.") Women and beer? Perfect combination! Beer wins all around.
  14. Glad to see the chorizo lasagna is on the big menu, can't wait to try it.
  15. Nice! I can't wait to try it. Oh lordy, still at least two months till I can get back...
  16. 10 years already! I feel old. Where does the time go? It seems like only yesterday I was reading this column on a big CRT screen in the internet cafe in Royal Garden Plaza, drinking a Carlsberg and complaining about the new 500 baht bar fines.... ....okay, I guess it was a long time ago. Anyway....Dance like a monkey, baby!
  17. Zen has become my favorite. The food at Fuji is OK (though they serve mugicha when you ask for green tea, and their curry rice is terrible) but it's noisy, full of the din of clanging cutlery and other people yapping. Zen is nice and quiet and the food is better in my opinion. I automatically rule out joints like Sukishi where they have the hot plates at the tables. I don't like going to a restaurant to cook my own food, and if I order one of the dishes they cook for you I have to work around the hot plate in the center.
  18. I hope that lasagna is still around. I want to try it before I ship out.
  19. Whoa! Somebody was REALLY disappointed to see you were closed!
  20. Sounds like a case of "BigD strikes again"
  21. Thanks for the link. I'll check back again tomorrow, maybe there'll be an update.
  22. Ah good news, and good idea not to open under those circumstances.
  23. Dropped in at BiteMe today, or tried to. The door has a hand lettered paper sign that says, "Closed until further notice." What's that about I wonder?
  24. I had the Reuben sandwich at Pastrami on Rye. Huge serving of pastrami on toasted rye with sauerkraut and Russian sauce, so big I could barely finish it. Comes with a big pickle slice and fries. At 345 baht it's not cheap for a sandwich but really tasty and the staff were nice. I'll definitely be back, maybe try the pastrami sandwich or corned beef next time.
