Perhaps the monk on the bus misread it and thought it said "You'll Never Wank Alone"?

MeGoDanceNow replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
I've been in there a few times this month. The White Pines Pizza with strips of salmon is delicious. -
Hilarity ensues as a bunch of "gopniki" encounter an asshat who parks his Lada sideways, taking up two parking spots…

A Roman walks into a bar and the bartender offers him a beer, which he declines: Cervisia, cervisiæ, cervisiam, cervisias.

No, but hum a few bars and I'll try to play it by ear.

How about selling merch on the site? A lot of YouTubers who get demonetized do that. You could sell a whole bunch of swag, like Pattaya Talk polo shirts, ball caps, fridge magnets, private-label Viagra, that sort of thing -

Thanks for the handy guide, KOJO. One question: I notice you don't use any flour or starch for the spaghetti sauce. How do you keep it from getting watery?

The curious case of the beefless Carl Jr's
MeGoDanceNow replied to MeGoDanceNow's topic in Restaurants and food
Well, that's good news! Don't know why they were so hush-hush about the reason. "Sorry, import restrictions" would have done it. Perhaps they feared the wrath of President Trump. -
The curious case of the beefless Carl Jr's
MeGoDanceNow replied to MeGoDanceNow's topic in Restaurants and food
Unfortunately I've had no reply on my no-beef beef. I'm glad I don't own stock in this company. Off to Toronto tomorrow, already looking forward to hitting a great little burger joint at Yonge & Adelaide. -

The curious case of the beefless Carl Jr's

I did that. No dice. They don't give out the email address, they just have a contact form that doesn't work. If you can find the email address, I'd appreciate if you could post it. -

Sometimes I get stubborn about things that aren't really important. This is one of those times. I hit the Carl Jr's website and tried to contact them by their contact form. It doesn't work. Apparently they don't accept email. Guess they just don't give a shit. -
Under 300 Baht ... And Good! (updated July 4, 2022)

Update on White Pine on soi 15 Walking Street: It's still good. Unable to get a burger at a burger joint (see other thread), I had a bolognese sandwich at White Pine. This is two pieces of crispy crusty bread smothered in mozzarella cheese and beef bolognese sauce, with fries and tartar sauce on the side. This and a bottle of Heineken came to 254 baht which is not bad. Messy but tasty. Sorry I didn't snap a picture. -
Hello foodies, Had coffee with a friend today and he told me the strangest tale. He said that Carl Jr.'s, an American burger chain that has an outlet in Central Festival Mall, has burgers but no beef. Pork, have. Chicken, have. Beef, no have. I had to see this for myself so I went down there today. Sure enough, the manager said they no longer stocked beef and hadn't for two weeks. A burger joint with no beef is like a pizza joint with no cheese or a dtom yam gung shop with no shrimp. What gives?

Fireworks and monkeys, oh my. A huge troop of monkeys overran a town in Lopburi on Father's Day. Watch what happens when the fireworks start.

A few nights ago I took Mrs. MGDN for din-dins at Volare. I had the tagliatelli with mushrooms and cheese sauce, and the missus had the salmon cream sauce spaghetti. Food and service were quite good. Boring mangiacake bread as EP says, but my pasta was tasty. The missus, however, complained that her dish was quite salty. I sampled it and thought the same. When we told the waitress, she apologized and knocked 20% off her bill. Considering that the usual reaction in a Thai-run restaurant would be a nervous laugh and no redress, I was impressed that the waitress had done something to

Windsor has better pizza than Montreal? That's welcome news. Pizza in Toronto is generally terrible. Tell me more!
