  1. Hi I think a board menmber called "jack dash" lives there and gave it a good review somewhere on here.
  2. Hi I don't mind staying in Jomtien. People say it's always full of Britney's but I hardly ever notice them. Maybe I'm not homophobic, or I'm with such nice girls I never have time to look for them.
  3. Hi I notice some people are giving bad reviews to good hotels now, because when they try book themselves they are booked out. Shame.
  4. Hi You will get better rates in LOS than Rip off Britian . (CROOKS IN SUITS)
  5. Hi Good idea, think you have got to have own business if living in LOS.
  6. Good point. I nearly went to Ko Chang last trip and wasn't aware until I came back to Blighty that it is malarial. I didn't even think of the risk, so I think you can become complacent if you are used to the place.
  7. Hi Dress Code ? =
  8. Hi I was flying London-Madrid one time and they plied me with Champagne all the way. Just shows you most things are subjective. I've heard lots of bad things about them, but they have always delivered for me.
  9. Bangkok Airways in this instance.
  10. Hi Have flown with Thai and Bangkok Airways. BA is cheaper and they have new planes and was happy with them.
  11. Hi Think family's diverting from Phuket. You should find a place for one night and look around.
  12. Hi Agree, trying to get the money together.
  13. Hi Think I would ask them to drop in on me as there would be no surprises fron their point of view (my reputation preceeds me). . Try to do any business on line. Would be a nicer break for them, than for me in farangland.
  14. Hi Enjoy your stay but pretend you've never even heard of that new airport.
  15. Hi Just a leisurely stroll across 2nd Road and down the soi to Beach Road.
  16. Hi 10 large bottles of Chang works for me.
  17. Hi Must check out these restaurants next time as the French know their food. What type of food do they serve ?
  18. Hi That statement is quite right, but I met a young guy in Phuket who was one of a few of his group to survive the tsunami. He said he was going home, quitting his job and opening a small guest house in Thailand. His experience was life changing for him. He had barely enough to do it, but for most people if they wait till everything is a cast iron certainty they will never make the move. Life is risky, no matter how well you plan.
  19. The guy who had to go home, who's to say if he stayed in Investment Banking he'd have done any better? Wasn't a good investor on his own behalf, and would probably been divorced by some gold digger in America, so maybe he had it better than otherwise as he had years of living it up. It's frightening when you add up how many people are no longer with us from our childhood. Some people think they are going to live forever.
  20. Seems a good deal. Hope I can join you soon.
  21. The reason the curry houses are so good in England is they are run by Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, etc
  22. Hi Had a curry there in Febuary. Though it was ok, but its not really a restaurant, more a canteen. I'm used to English curry which is top class if you know where to go. Definitely room for good curry house in Pattaya, could we convince some of the tailors/touts to take up cooking ? I love seafood so don't miss curries but it must be hard on some people who are addicted to them to find it so hard to get a good one.
  23. Hi Good deal. Think sometimes they can do a better deal with a few nights hotel. Dont know the story behind it. What date is the flight ?
  24. Hi I stayed there sometime last year, paid a bit more but got a lovely big room, with a bed big enough for a party with the staff of a go-go ! If I was offered a room like that I just wouldn't take it.
