Hi Nana is just across from NEP so handy. Iv'e stayed there and other places in Bangkok and always end up back in the Nana. Never saw any roaches there and I think it is good value for Bangkok. Some members seem to have arguments in hotels and then bad mouth staff, hotel, food, pool etc. I had some problems in Flipper Lodge in Pattaya but would still recommend it as most people have no problems there and it's value for money.

Hi Good idea not aware of it, but it must exist. When I've got dropped in Pattaya by taxi from Bangkok I'm sure they dont drive back empty. Probabable have a S/T and get a fare back from one of the hotels.

Hi Grand Inn is near Nana skytrain. Small hotel, big rooms good A/C etc and when I stayed there the only Thai lady residents I saw was the ones with me. That's why I like Nana Hotel. but think Grand Inn more suitable to your situation. On Soi 3 North Nana Tel: 254- 9021-7 costs around 1500 bath.

Hi I think Loy Krathong good time to visit ( mid-late November ) Was there last year and it was much less hot than Songkran (April) Definitely more pleasant Oct-Feb but if I have money anytime is a good time.

Hi Quantas have better food and have individual monitors for choosing your own films etc. Usually find Eva cheaper and it's direct like Quantas. If same price Quantas, if Eva 100-150 pounds cheaper I'd choose Eva. Usually Quantas fly one way and BA the other(shared route).

Hi I like Flipper Lodge because I like the rooftop pool. Good value for money, but last time I was there had trouble with my cards and I had to move to Bay Breeze where they left me stay until cards were sorted out. Flipper seems to be paranoid about falangs ripping them off ! Maybe they have bad experience in the past. Good security and good location. Both hotels mentioned often fully booked.
