  1. Hi, Website has a useful map if you dont know the area. http://www.grandinnthailand.com/
  2. Hi, Grand Inn is a nice small hotel with good AC big rooms etc. Not really a mongers place. I prefer the Nana as it has the whiff of sweet Thai pussy in the air.
  3. Hi, Exactly!!! No doubt this will generate extra income and be good for the share price. I'm sure there is something in his contract to make it worth his while.
  4. Hi, British Airways are imposing extra charges for extra baggage even if they are within the weight restriction limits. It varies depending on journey but it is a significant amount. Some routes seem exempt but LOS does not aappear to be one of them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6341129.stm BA to charge £240 for extra bag
  5. Hi, Too true. Often people have great knowledge, but when it comes to laying down their money their thought processes go awry.
  6. Hi, I have a Nokia and was looking through all the things you can do with it. I just use it as a phone and the odd photo but it has so many features includind radio and mp3 player. Very few people use all the features on what are a marvellous piece of technology. Hi, I've found their desktops very good, but I dont know anybody with their laptops.
  7. Hi, I think it is a case of not having internet savvy staff for some of the smaller operators. I've stayed in some small hotels in Amsterdam and notice the reception staff always have a link open to incoming e-mail enquiries. I'm sure if you sent them an e-mail enquiry a reply would be forthcoming at the first available opportunity. I've found Nana to be very prompt in replying to my e-mails as well.
  8. Hi, Always like direct flight, but am a non smoker and a break may suit some people. Qatar were offering a good deal from LON recently £331 but with a 7 hr stopover in Doha on the way back. That is a good deal if you dont mind the stopover.
  9. Hi, It's supposed to be a carbon tax. However no steps have been taken to ring fence the money, so essentially it's just another tax on the public. I am far from certain about "global warming" but I am certain the Governments and Green Lobby are using it to gouge money from the public. Apparently the Earth has been a similar temperature centuries ago before any motorised transport had been invented.
  10. Hi, Go sooner rather than later. Your plan of buying a place in Prague is a good one. I feel you always need a place in Europe in case things go wrong in LOS which can happen despite all our best plans.

    Dollar/Baht

Hi, Too right. That's part of the reason you have been able to afford to retire early.
  12. Hi, There should be a law that they have got to quote the real price, but hey you live in rip-off Britian. The price aint too bad and you wont get much cheaper for a direct flight IMO.
  13. Hi, I'm with you on this one Plahgat. I'm not a Cheap Charlie, but a Gentleman who likes Value for Money.
  14. Hi, Con't think Perturbed has the right skillset to be an Hotel Manager.
  15. Hi, I agree. I can't understand how you can have a 10 year savings account linked to the Stockmarket and get no more out than you put in. Especially when it's a Bull Market. I would deal on my own account if I had the cash to spare but many people in England get second properties to rent out in lieu of pensions and cash/shares. Very few people trust the investment/insurance companies and I have found that people I know who have been successful in creating wealth for themselves have followed your route. The pensions for Public Sector employees seem fair enough, but private pensions seem a complete scam and should not be touched with a bargepole.
  16. Hi, You are un-American.
  17. Hi, So, in a nutshell, corruption and backhanders. the American way.
  18. Hi, Well done jasonbalmer for trying to educate Scalawag in the finer points of the aviation industry. With your help and other posters like Cheshire Tom and Indisicpline we may get him to understand a little in the end.
  19. Hi, A sensible balanced post, must be European ?
  20. Hi, Errr. Surely some mistake ?
  21. Hi, No, no no. You've got it wrong. All the American posters on here will tell you that they are a company who get no tax payers dollars or State Aid.
  22. Hi, If the dollar falls much further they will be using $100 bills to light their Silk Cuts.
  23. Hi, I think it will be manufactured all over the place. Maybe assembled in America ?
  24. Hi, I agree with speedbonnieboat that the American company would be gouging the airlines in their "FREE MARKET" way if they had a monopoly. And TheFiend is right the Nightmareliner is just using new manufacturing techniques. Nothing wrong with that,as I've said before the World is evolving in all kinds of ways. We can't stand still and still be flying 747's in 100 years time.
