VP178 You do not know what you are talking about. All the VT and many other condo's are sold as a shell and you do the fit it out to your own taste with the flooring, ceiling, painting kitchen etc. For a shell this size I would allow 500,000 baht for the fit out. Unfotunately for the owners of these older units a lot of the new developments are offering very small rooms at these prices but they are fully fitted out including furniture. So if you can handle the tiny rooms you just walk in and live there.

Pattaya will be ok as far as the floods go but there will probably be a few food shortages. I am going for Xmas and all of Jan and figure if I cannot get local produce I will just pay a bit more for imported foods. I am only on holidays and don't have to last for months on expensive food. I imagine it will be easier to get a booking this year but I would still start getting something booked now.Have a good trip and have fun.

But this Condo is not in a Thai inividuals name but a Company name. So if you are prepared to use the Thai Company it will be your Condo.

I find all the bread from the larger bakeries is sweet ( not very nice ). I buy my bread from the small bread shops, much nicer.

Please somebody correct me if I am wrong but I think Thailand only has one tobacco company which is Gov owned and make a few bloody terrible local brands. Everything mainly comes in from the Phillipines and Singapore.

He is probably buying them from Cambodia. Made the mistake of buying a few cartons from a market in Cambodia once on a visa run. Bloody shocking cigs, were knock off's of Thai cigs, L & M etc.Very cheap, but even the Thai girlfriend wouldn't smoke them.

Once again very good and brought a smile to my face.

The price is good for the location. Most foreign owned condos in this complex on the 8th floor would start at 2.4M and up. This one looks nice so would expect it to be around a starting price of 2.5M to 2.6M.If you can use a thai name or happy with the company it would be a good buy, plus you could probably negotiate some off this price due to the flat market. PS The empty shell would have cost around 1.7M to 1.8M so add on the renovations this one is around cost price.

This has to be a wind up. The girls are working, most of them will have a boyfriend or husband at home. All they care about is that you have the bar fine and 1000 baht to give them. Whether you are married, not married, gay whatever is not even a consideration.

I am not in the market to buy but this is a good price and Nirun is not to bad. Good location and has everything available on site , shops etc. I sold one there 2 years ago for 460,000 but it was not furnished as good as this one.Just reading this I should be on commission

LK Metro I don't know but there is a Dental Practice not far away on South Pattaya Rd opposite Tuk Com. My mate has used them and said they did a good job and as with all dental work in Thailand was very cheap compared to Australian prices.Sorry don't know the name.

Louie. The market is saturated with condo's for sale and is a buyers market. Just get there and have a look what the estate agents have got. Sure to find a bargain somewhere.

My god, I find myself agreeing with Torque. But you do need to factor in one more group, which I will admit I fall into.If you are of a certain personallity over years you start to become friends with some of the girls and you will receive occassional requests to help. Now I do mean occassional and if they are not they are no longer classed as a friend.One friend of mine always struggles around Feb because she has many bills due then including her car insurance and she sometimes asks for help.Otherwise I just get the occassional hello how are you going message. Same here. The only problem I have had with them is queue jumping at a 7/11 Nth end of Walking St. Happened several times and every time I had to tell them to piss off and join the queue. Maybe they did not understand my english, I am Australian but they managed to get the drift of what I was saying.

If you have the money go for it, you would have fun and so would she. Agree the sponsoring track is a not a smart way to go in your situation with only 3 weeks a year holidays.

You must experience it once and decide for yourself. I love at least one day of fun but it does go on to long in Pattaya, 4 to 5 days with the last day the most frenzied and fun with all of pattaya involved. I was there last year in Soi 7, had a great time, but the days leading up to the main day can get tiresome getting wet all the time.
