I like that ,but its just an old "Irish " joke that's been rewritten.

Most Brits will get it no problem as the joke used to be about 2 Pakistanis 30+ years ago.

I understand that I have an special wish for a chair ,but it was an honest question, as When I was young and had to live in furnished bedsits here in the UK, I either had a comfy(sometimes not so comfy) Chair on its own or a chair and a sofa depending on how big the space was .I never had only a Sofa, mind you I also only ever had a single bed in those rooms, so I really wondered if it was a Thai thing. PS I have had to put up with Sofas on all those occassions when I rented a condo in Pattaya as I never thought it worth the trouble when it was only for a holiday rent ,even when it was a 4 month holiday, because I could have a massage every day if I wanted .

This I can understand ,but I would not have it that way in anyplace I owned or rented,I would have a fold up for drunk mates or a blow up matress and still have a comfy chair to ease my poor back .

I grant you that both of those are an option ,but I have a bad back so a comfy chair is a blessing.I just wondered thats all because I would never have a couch before I had a good chair ,though I am happy to have a couch as well but not instead of.

This is just a general question about Thai furnishings in condos in general .Why does there always seem to be a sofa but never an individual easy chair. I think this condo is beautifuly furnished, from what I can see, but how can anyone come home and relax on a couch?.

Yes you guessed it im not fat im just about 4feet too short.Still if I was my correct weight for my height I would be too long in the leg for these to fit anyway.

What do you call a half sized fridge? The one I see in the pics is a normal all over the world,except in the USA, under the counter fridge.

Assuming ,and I know that to assume anything in Thailand is to get into trouble,that the building is freehold and I can own it with a company ,then the only thing would be to haggle for a better price ,although its not out of the question its £220,000 as near as damit and at that price you could probably make a good living if there was a good occupancy and that was recorded. And to keep things real for the fisherman,I did look at buying a business in Pattaya but the big thing that stopped me was not the low returns on capital or even the need to have a company own any property ,no it was the fall of the £ and the fact that it dropped from 71 to 52 overnight ,well it seemed that way to me,and that just made the idea pointless as I would have had to work hard in Pattaya to earn a living ,and that was not the point of moving there in the first place.Having said that ,I see no problem highlighting problems for others to consider,just as I highlighted the claim of open space that one bar seller was touting ,as the pavement outside .

To be honest I thought that $25,000 was cheap so I got the calculator out and its actually £47,229 at todays exchange rate(45.615 to £)and thats $74,051 (29.709 to $)And at that price I would want a lot more than some furniture and dubious goodwill for my money.

At a 40 inch waist I would be considered very slim.

I have stayed there many times and though it is an OK place to rent ,I have heard so many owners complain about the building management that I would think twice about buying there before the court battle ,unless it has been resolved ,is resolved,and the building is under much better new management. Given that I am wary of buying because of the management ,if that has been resolved I would consider buying there as its a good price and the unit is big enough for a single old man who is only there for a few months of the year and is trying to downsize in any case.

The one time I had a problem with a girl in Pattaya I was staying at this place (it was 3/4 years ago)I called the night manager who came up and got her out of my room with minimum fuss ,so It was a big plus to me that I was staying there when the problem occurred.

Whatever happened to the bikes at 2000 baht a month.

Was there not a Pattaya condo on line forum /group/Magazine ,thingy. I did have it as a favourite but lost the Address when my old PC died .There was listed a good few condos for sale rent and good reviews of what they were like Written by those who lived there.

I don't know the answer to your question but ,I do know that sometime in 2015 your green paper license will become obsolete ,so you had best get a move on in changing it for a photo licence soon.It is also a good photo ID to have as most people who want ID accept ypour Photo License as ID,much more useful than the green thing.

Only if you want to.That would be my answer to you,but is that the answer you wanted to hear or is there another reason behind this question. Are you worried that as a singleton you will feel lonely? if you are alone at home then you will probably feel alone in LOS as its mostly about how outgoing you are that gets you company of the Guys ,The girls on the other hand could care less about your personality ,buy a few lady drinks(not too many or you will be thought of as stupid and taken to the cleaners)and the world of the Pattaya bar girl is your oyster.Plenty of blokes in Pattaya are in the same boat ,being on their own,and are almost always willing to chat to a fellow monger in the many bars that make up Pattaya so you will not be alone for long if you make a little effort.

In my own case I see stuff that makes me see red ,like when a guy was selling a bar and described the pavement outside which was not owned by him as "outside space",but still included some of that space in his estimate of the bars size. In other cases I might have been interested but the Facts as stated did not seem to corelate with things that are of the real world.

I have to say that even with my bad legs and back it was am enjoyable half day out,I don't think it requires more to see all of the place than that but it well worthwhile making the trip at least once.I just ride my Bike over there so for me getting there was not any hardship,but as has been said using baht buses and moto taxis it no hardship getting there. PS that was a good video.
