That's almost £10000 for a 17 year old mini bus that you could not sell for £1000 in the UK today . why is it worth so much in Thailand? -

Bronze rat in Sydney A bloke from the bush walked into a Sydney antique shop. After looking around for a while, he noticed a very life-like bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but it was so striking that he decided to buy it anyway. He took it to the owner and said: "How much is this bronze rat?" The owner replied: "It's $12 for the rat, and $100 for the story, sir." The fellow gave the owner his $12 and said: "I'll just take the rat; you can keep the story!" As he walked off down the street, he noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the drains and begun following him. This was a little disconcerting, so he started to walk a little faster, but within a couple of blocks the swarm of rats had grown to hundreds, and they were all squealing and screeching in a very menacing way. He increased his speed and ran on towards Sydney Harbour and as he ran, he looked behind him and saw the rats now numbered in their MILLIONS, and they were running faster and faster. By now very concerned, he ran down to the pier and threw the bronze rat as far out into the water as he could. Amazingly, the millions of real rats jumped into the water after it and were all drowned. The man walked back to relate all this to the shop owner, who said, "Ah, you've come back for the story then?" "Hell no!' said the bloke, 'I came back to see if you've got a bronze Muslim, a couple of Asians, a poofta, and an Indian spin bowler!"

Hi I have not been to LOS for a few years but my advice is germane, I was never under 150KG in all my stays in Pattaya and any of the Bikes I rode from 115cc to 135cc were all OK as far as pulling my weight. If however you are an unskilled rider I would get a Twist and go Automatic and that way you do not have to worry about learning how to change gears. I always took the cheapest deal I could but you may be of a different mind but any twist and go will suit if you weigh as much as150KG,these bike would also take my girl of the day on the back so unless you want to go speeding along, these small bikes will get to 50MPH and above even with a fatty on board. If you want to go faster then learn to ride well before you even think of renting a big bike. The one drawback that weight will bring with it seems to be more punctures ,but with many garages around who will(would when I was last in town) fix them for less than a couple of Pounds($3)that is not as much of a hardship as it might be back home. Ride safe watch both sides and expect the traffic to come at you from every angle, but don't be put off by naysayers..

this one went on ebay earlier this year for £170 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seiko-Premier-Kinetic-Perpetual-Mens-Gents-Watch-SNP001P1-7D48-0AA0-Boxed-/310662544223?pt=UK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item4854ee3b5f This looked like it was sold new but I have seen others that were new in the $340-$700 range, but that is just by the by I was commenting on the high price of second hand goods in Thailand. I will always look for the lowest price on anything I buy as paying the highest price is to me a stupid move. I did however see that this was a popular watch as it is out of stock on many sites, but those sites were the sites that sold it for a lower price than those who have plenty left at much higher prices. My view is that unless I am getting a really large percentage off the new price ,then I would probably go for a new item rather than a second hand item.

????????????????

I find that the prices for second hand goods in Thailand is highly inflated, but why would anyone buy a second hand watch at this price when a new one can be had for 13,500baht, and 5 minutes on the internet.

I just wish I could afford to live in that style, it is a beautiful house and I wish you well in its sale.

Yes Gabor I know it says 48sqm but it does not look like 48sqm it looks no bigger than 32sqm
-
I would question the claim to 48sqm as in the pics it looks no bigger than the 32sqm places I have stayed in.

Do you still have the bike entitlement on your British licence ?if so you can get a bike licence just by applying with the relevant paperwork, others on the forum can tell you how and where ,I did it a few years ago. To be honest with you my bike riding days in the UK were a lot longer ago than yours , but unless you are looking at a big bike I would just buy a small ,115-125 cc, bike and ride of into the sunset and learn as you ride ,just like you did back in the UK. If you take care and ride slowly you will get back all of your riding skills in a very short time .If you really think you need lessons from a Thai driver ,then I would consider never driving or riding in Thailand as you confidence level would seem to be far to low to cope with the many nutters on Pattayas roads. I don't wish to get down on you but most bike riders need little instruction to pass the UK test and none at all to pass the Thai test. I have just realised how old this post is ,and that I have given a previous answer, but I will leave it up as this answer is about the same as my previous one with some extras.

If You Wonder Why Russians Like Pattaya ... (More vids)

Surely as a bar owner you should know that the proof of a spirit is not the alcoholic content , as 110 proof is really 55% alcohol ,just as "normal" drinks are 80 proof and 40% alcohol. -
New look Royal Navy The Royal Navy is proud to announce its new fleet of Type 45 destroyers. Having initially named the first two ships HMS Daring and HMS Dauntless, the Naming Committee has, after intense pressure from Brussels, renamed them HMS Cautious and HMS Prudence. The next five ships are to be HMS Empathy, HMS Circumspect, HMS Nervous, HMS Timorous and HMS Apologist. Costing £850 million each, they comply with the very latest employment, equality, health & safety and human rights laws. The Royal Navy fully expects any future enemy to be jolly decent and to comply with the same high standards of behaviour. The new user-friendly crow's nest has excellent wheelchair access. Live ammunition has been replaced with paintballs to reduce the risk of anyone getting hurt and to cut down on the number of compensation claims. Stress counsellors and lawyers will be on board, as will a full sympathetic industrial tribunal. The crew will be 50/50 men and women, and will contain the correct balance of race, gender, sexuality and disability. Sailors will work a maximum of 37hrs per week in accordance with the E.U.working hours directive, even in wartime. All the vessels are equipped with a maternity ward, a crèche and a gay disco. Tobacco will be banned throughout the ship, but recreational cannabis will be allowed in wardrooms and messes. The Royal Navy, eager to shed its traditional reputation for "Rum, sodomy and the lash", has removed the rum ration, to be replaced by sparkling water. Sodomy remains, now extended to include all ratings under 18. The lash will still be available on request. Saluting of officers is now considered elitist and has been replaced by "Hello Sailor". All information on notice boards will be in 37 different languages and Braille. Crew members will no longer have to ask permission to grow beards and/or moustaches. This applies equally to female crew. The MoD is inviting suggestions for a "non-specific" flag because the White Ensign may offend minorities. The Union Jack must never be seen. The newly re-named HMS Cautious will be commissioned shortly by Captain Hook from the Finsbury Park Mosque who will break a petrol bomb over the hull. She will gently slide into the sea as the Royal Marines Band plays "In the Navy" by the Village People. Her first deployment will be to escort boatloads of illegal immigrants to ports on England's south coast. The Prime Minister said, "Our ships reflect the very latest in modern thinking and they will always be able to comply with any new legislation from Brussels.” His final words were . . . . “Britannia waives the rules.”

UNIXX condo in Pattaya for SALE. 27sqm (transfer of contract)
sinbinjack replied to mataleo's topic in The Market
Of course you can sell it cheaper than the advertised price, but who ever pays the advertised price ,because the advertised price is the "Farang" price. The Thai price is lower so if its in a Thai name it costs less. -

I think its time to give up, you are obviously out of your depth and everything you post is only digging you deeper in the mire. Every question asked has been questions that any buyer should be asking before investing a sizable chunk of change, you don't seem to have grasped the simple fact that you have no sensible answer to their sensible questions. So unless you want to keep being played with I would give up your quest to sell this "Property" to anyone on this forum or any other forum. Look for a drunk in a bar and sell it to him, that way you will both be talking shit and that makes you equal.. -
No its actually very real ,you can if you wish see it on Utube

Is the ball thrown overarm in baseball?, I thought it was more a side throw, as over arm would drop the ball out of the strike zone almost every pitch. I always like to take the mick about American sports just like every other Brit, and Yanks love to pull our chain when it comes to that ,but American football has very little in common with Rugby just as Rounder's has little in common with Baseball as both may have come from those roots previously stated ,but are made for a different audience and have vastly differing rules , that have changed over the years as the audience have become more interested in bigger and better sport. that as fat as Yanks are concerned ,can never end without one or other of the teams Winning.

Yes its a little amusing , but as has been said How much Thai can any of us write never mind speak. I have very poor hand writing skills so anything I wrote would be little better, and I have an English O level.
