You will never think you are getting the best rate. Jacko is absolutely correct. You see the rate going up so think you will hang on before exchanging your cash. It is only the next day when the rate goes down that you realise you have just missed the "best" rate.

Joe Would it be correct to say that the existing lights are at crossroads so that, if the traffic did not stop, there would be an accident with another vehicle? That is rather different from stopping merely for pedestians. I do not really care about their motivation but I do hope the BiB enforce the new lights. Bazle

....... pedestrian controlled traffic signals on Second Road, that is. Yes, they're going up all along Second Road, and possibly other places (I have spotted one on the junction of Central and Beach Roads). It will be interesting to see how the traffic flows once they start working.

Of all the great suggestions in this thread, I decided to follow up on Dr Darika. Just as Emil described, she is pretty, charming, chatty, jokey, and speaks good English. And seems to know her job pretty well! I had 2 X-Rays and a large filling in a wisdom tooth (with injected anaesthetic) at a total cost of 1,500 Baht. A bargain for 1 hour 20 mins of very professional time.

If this is "Inn House" on Soi 13, I shall be very surprised if there is anything much more than a 5% sea view. I stayed there about 8 years ago and since then so much has been built between the Inn House and Beach Road that I am surprised that there is any sea view at all. But I'm not really knocking it (unless a sea view is vital to your needs) as Soi 13 is a very convenient location and the Inn House`WAS (cannot say "is" as I don't have the experience) excellent value for money.

I agree Dave's comments. It's OK but nothing to rush off to see. I went there on Wednesday evening at about 9.30. There were 7 girls on stage, 3 of whom had pelmets removed. There was no action at all in the jacuzzi at the end of the stage. Taken overall, the girls were average looking. The service was excellent. It's below the standard of Champagne, its (geographically) closest rival.
