  1. That can be a big problem if you have to make a claim.
  2. Thanks. That's very helpful - I'll follow it up.
  3. Having retired, I was hoping to spend an extended period in Patts over the English winter - maybe about 5 months. However, there are some practical problems with this, the main ones being connected with insurances. As background, I live in a leasehold apartment in outer London. Contents insurance and buildings insurance Both these policies become invalid if I am absent for more than 30 days. I have heard from the contents insurance company that I can get this extended to 90 days provided that I have someone enter the property and inspect it every week. I am told unofficially that the buildings insurance company is going to say more or less the same. Firstly, 90 days is not long enough - although I guess I could live with it. Secondly, I have a big problem having someone come and inspect the place. London is a huge city and often friends live a long way away; you usually meet up with them in the centre. I have no friends who I would want to bother to come all the way to where I live every week. They don't come when I'm here - why should they do so when I'm not!! Travel insurance My travel insurance limits trips to 30 days. I have done some research and find that I can get a policy that will allow 90 days away, but it will cost over £200 and will just cover that one absence. The main item of cover in a travel policy is medical. I thought about not taking travel insurance but instead buying medical cover in Patts. However, the problem with that is that it is unlikely to cover me if I travel outside of Thailand, which I want to do. Has anyone had to deal with these issues and found solutions to them, please? Thanks.
  4. On that basis, removing their organs would not be an issue either. Is it not the case that the body belongs to the next of kin? In that case, you should get consent from that person before shagging the corpse; good luck with that discussion! This is dead boring.
  5. Not that I'm aware of but have never checked (? business opportunity). I had in mind being back in the UK.
  6. You just have to do what works for you. My problem would be that after so many years of living on my own, I don't want anyone to share my space. When the time comes, I will probably go into warden assisted accommodation (where you have your own place but can call upon an on-site warden whenever you want.)
  7. X N/A - don't bring bags
  8. So why are you flying a Togo flag?
  9. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday It's a great place.
  10. From the apartments. I have their business card.
  11. Sorry, I can't find a website but you might like to give a call to a development called K2M out on the Darkside - 29/8 M.13 Soi Nernplabwaan to be precise. I think it runs parallel with Soi Siam Country Club. The number is 038-735197 or mobile 081-996-3906 / 084-084-3493. A go-go girl I know lives in the development and from her description I think it would be the sort of thing you are after.
  12. I have just bought a Toshiba 305 Notebook for GBP 320, with a free case thrown in. Love it!
  13. They are both much the same. However, Alcazar allow you to take pictures during the show and Tiffany doesn't. Incidentally, the ticket pricing is something you need to bear in mind. I concluded (but stand to be corrected) that it is often cheaper to buy tickets from agencies rather than direct from the theatres, and you can often negotiate the price with the agencies. However, if you are going to the show with a Thai, if you make that point clear to the theatres, they will sell you the ticket for the Thai at about half price - something which the agencies won't do. If you and your TG are going, it works out cheaper to get the tickets direct from the theatre.
  14. Being the eternal pessimist, I suspect that if bookings look dismal, prices won't be cut - just the number of flights.
  15. The Glitterman doth protest too much, methinks.
  16. I'll be interested to know how you get on.
  17. I have to confess I had not heard of them! I've found their website and I assume you have - http://www.flykingfisher.com/ I suggest you give them a call tomorrow if you booked directly with them and not through an agent. Phone the agent if you used one. I booked my travel with EVA through NetFlights who seemed to think that I could get a refund.
  18. Are you sure you can't get your money back? I think some airlines are offering refunds even though they don't need to. Who are you flying with? If there is a sale, there will be tax. No refund of ticket, no refund of tax. (PS I'm meant to be flying on Monday but will most likely cancel as well )
  19. Perhaps you could make your way to Fallujah.
  20. I suspect you haven't read enough reviews and are going to be in for an unpleasant surprise!
  21. A cheap alternative to The Castle, perhaps?
  22. Just found these quotes on the net. Wish I'd thought of them
  23. You are surely not talking about one single tablet? So how many in a box?
  24. There's a lot to this moderation lark
