You are correct Joe; I have a daily limit of $800 USD on one card and $500 USD on the other two cards, Im not sure what my limit is on my Mastercard but I've never used it and would'nt because of the high fees and "instant interest" the charge unless it was an emergency. Plan on useing my ATM card more this trip as my bank now refunds ATM charges. In previous trips I found some ATM's only give out a max of 10K per transaction and 10/20K per day (like the ones outside of 7-11's) and others will give out more. I like to get about 15K tb at a time and don't like having to do 2 transactions to get it. Do the bank ATM's (Red-Yellow) all give out the same amounts? Does it matter where the ATM is? thanks rb

Just of note for those who use the baht buses for transportation: because of the destruction of the beer bars on Soi2, all the "convenient" buses that usta short-cut down soi2 has reduce considerably and the ones that do will not stop if empty, not wanting to take 1 person. One of the real advantages of staying at the Sabii was you could walk right out to soi2 and easily get on a bath bus or walk up to the beer bars, neither is the case anymore! chers rb

wish I could say the same! Been traveling from MSP-BKK since '98 and fares have consistently went up from US, of course 911, bird flu ect. had a gr8 impact. Usta be able to find sale fares from $8-900 USD and get award tickets easily for 60k FFM's being only silver or gold. Sale fares today are $13-1500 USD w/ non-sale fares around $2k and if your not at least platinum or diamond level FFM's award tickets are 120k. chers rb

Here's my experience 4 what it's worth, watching all the matches I can in the last 2 decades when in LOS. 1st I must caviot that I never knew Metro was showing the matches so I can't comment but would be a very good option (A/C)and even if the "live" matches are missed, the replays go on all week. For watching those in morning/afternoon I like the crowd at Jack Tar's on soi6, drink prices are cheap, foods ok and I like to get a seat so I can keep an eye on the "street" and the tg's across the way.
