Wombat Go placidly amidst the noise and haste.

Poor Peder Rabbit. Too much of a good thing at Mr McGregor's farm. Then he got dazzled in the headlights of a big truck and was completely steamrolled. While Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail feasted on currant buns and blackberries.

Just do it. Many years ago when I was on big money a mate and I tried to do Melbourne --London for a weekend to see the Spurs play. Couldn't pull it off, but would have been a hoot. I've done BKK--FKK and while I couldn't recommend Lufthansa, its a direct flight, so they shouldn'e lose your luggage like they did mine. But for sure try to incorporate it into a long weekend.

I'm expecting some cheap deals to come along, but not for about 3 months. Same thing happened after Bali. The other likelihood is that Thai will cut back on services to Oz, which would be a damned shame. Don't flame me, I'm not making light of a terrible situation. Just crystal balling.

When I was 20 being gay was illegal. When I was 30 it was tolerated. When I was 40 it became legal. Now I'm rising 50 and getting outa here before they make it compulsory.

Your problem might not be in taking cats to LOS, but getting them back home again.

I've often left excess luggage at Don Muang when heading off to PTY for a few days. Never had a problem. A mate of mine was not so trusting and took all his mountain climbing gear to Pty with him. Looked like a complete tosser.

same same. definately a "BYO" experience. beaches are good, atmosphere very laid back. I would recommend the example of a fat German who was there when I was. He took twins.

My stomach turns every time Jeff tells the survivors to swim out to a "boo-ey". -
And so far as I know, until they went digital, TV stations and production houses still used Beta in preference to VHS.

I buy a lot of DVDs and VCDs on E-bay USA. Since I got shown how to play them I've had no problems. For me it's just one setting on the player (via the remote) and I'm sweet. If I forget the setting, most discs still play but the quality is poor. I also brought back DVDs from my last trip to Hong Kong. They appear to be region coded, but they play no problems. BTW. A couple of years ago my job involved provedoring ocean going vessels including mobile oil rigs and their tender vessels. One vessel (British) wanted three TVs to play their videos. The ones we supplied were PAL, but a diffe

I used to share a house with a mate who was a mug golfer (ok at other sports) but he would putt from anywhere within about 50 metres of the green. these days he's off single figures.

webby I stayed at the Asia my first trip to Pty ( I didn't know any better), mainly because they had their own course. In the end I didn't play at all, but I had a view of the course from my room. It looked fairly forgiving for a learner, and not too many people on it back then. Hope you get serious about the game--can't just leave it to the old buggers.

But in the interest of encouraging a new player.... ....if there is no other group coming up behind you, and your partner is happy for you to play out the hole, then do as you please. How else are you gonna practice your putting?
-
leemo don't know how Doggie regards this, but in club competition (stableford) it is considered extremely poor form to continue on a hole after you have hit more shots than your handicap allows. That's one of the reasons its popular down here--a round takes about half an hour less than a round of stroke play, in which every hole must be played out regardless. And slow golf is bad golf. Opening all those cans is time consuming too.

Q. Why do women get thrush? A. So they learn how to handle an irritable c..t before they marry one.

If I remember right, it was the first Australian song to reach #1 on the UK charts. Lead singer was Stevie Wright, who is still alive but pretty much fucked up after spending most of the '70s a junkie. Harry Vanda and George Young were migrants who met at a hostel in Adelaide, Vanda was Dutch, Young a brit. A lot of Aussie bands came out of that migration system. Including ACDC, with George Young's little brother Angus on guitar. When Bon Scott died, Stevie Wright was the likely replacement, but he was too fucked up for the band to take him on. God, I'm getting old....
