Missing some of his usual regalia. Was it "Dress-Down Friday"?

I don't have any pictures. About 5 years ago I had a superior wing B room reserved. When I check in I learned it was on a lower floor and upon entering the roon I found it had a view of another building's wall. When I asked for a higher floor with an unobstructed view I was told there were no superior rooms vacant on higher floors at that time but regular rooms were available. So I moved into the regular. Really, the only difference I saw between them was that the superior room was bigger so it had some more space for a little love seat and table if I remember correctly. The regular room was f

Milk chocolate - like a Hershey Bar or similar - is the best chilli escape. Mops up the heat almost immediately.

Something by Les Paul and Mary Ford. But back then people only listened to music when they weren't busy fighting off dinosaurs and things like that.

I would NEVER, EVER tell anyone in my workplace (also a large technology/engineering firm) anything even remotely associated with Pattaya and its joys. Not only none of their business but also no good can come from it. If pressed for a blood donation I'd tell them I'm on medication for an autoimmune disorder or something similar.

A shame to have missed the pantomime and reaction at the start, but maybe that's best left to the imagination. A good dose of volcanic somtam would have done them just as well.

What is your favorite non-native language word?
jasonbalmer replied to bigdelta's topic in Idle Chit Chat
A few posts ago folks were lamenting the deaths of various languages and the associated contraction of diversity And now were suggesting killing off an entire measurement system, a system steeped in rich tradition and noted for its endearing foibles and individuality, unlike that cold, sterile other system. -
It wasn't that the dish was so hot per se, but once I was eating some sort of Thai dish that had the little fiery chillis in it. I was doing OK -- it was hot but I'm somewhat acclimated to such things. Somehow, while chewing, I managed to drive a piece of one of those chilli peppers under the gum behind my front teeth. The pain simply exploded in my head and my sinuses instantly let lose a torrent of watery mucus as my eyes bulged and I gasped for relief. People at my table thought I was doing some sort of Linda Blair/Excorcist thing. Worst chilli experience I've ever had.

I don't know about the UK, but here in the US there are property management firms that will look after a place. They're frequently engaged by people who have temporarily relocated for a work assignment. Maybe someone in the UK offers similar services?

The strange part is she impugns him on character issues ... Who expects politicians to have decent character?

Once the promo is over and the accountants take hold, that leg room will get converted into paying load factor. Enjoy it while you can. -
Has anyone flown in Business class with flat bed seats?
jasonbalmer replied to bigdelta's topic in Airline Discussion
I've flown Sing Air (EWR-SIN and JFK-FRA-SIN) and United (BKK-NRT) flat biz class. I'm tall -- 6'4" and the United bed is too short for me. I wouldn't mind hanging my feet over the edge, but I can't because of the way the seat is designed. (Look closely at how the foot end is designed and how they interleave the foot ends of the seats to minimize space claim and you'll understand my problem with it) Could not get comfortable enough to sleep. Thankfully the really long segment (NRT-IAD) was a regular biz seat that I could sleep in. Just to be clear it's the flat biz seats on United tha -
I'm sure we could photoshop up a "Silence! I keel you!" frame with the pope if you think that would round out the thread.

Gonna take more than a few drinks to erase that from my memory

Zip ties to secure your bags?
jasonbalmer replied to SmellyFarang's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
But, of course. if you cache your multi-colored ties in your bag, she can just select a new one while she's in there. -
too funny! -- that show will never be the same to me now.

OK. It works like this. There are two things that are limits in hosted storage sites such as Photobucket and others 1 - storage space, and 2 - bandwidth item 1 determines how much stuff you can put up on their site item 2 determines how many times stuff stored on their site (item 1) can be transmitted (i.e. viewed) within a given time frame (usually a month) A simple example to illustrate. Let's imagine that a site allows you to store 1M and allocates 1G of bandwidth per month. For simplicity, we'll stipulate that 10 * 100K = 1M and 1000 * 1M = 1G. Lets imagine tha

I just use a Q-tip every so often and all's well. I'm sure not going to have someone I don't know poking around in my ears.

I have some that I bought from Spice World in Seattle. They also sell them in our local Wegman's (a grocery chain in the NE). I use them to season noodles and to make salsa. A little bit of them goes a long, long way. My first time using them was a bit painful. Think weaponized habaneros.
