  1. So I guess the rumors that there's no seat on his bike are false ...
  2. Chocolate -- such as a Hershey bar -- has always worked best for me (and I have a jar of Bhut Joloka in my pantry)

  4. At a restaurant on Beach Road on one of my trips ... ME: Coffee, please. Black, no milk. THEM: No hab milk. ME: uh ... OK
  5. Yes, she's there. Nice too. Great commercial Can you imagine the self-righteous uproar if such a thing were to be shown here in the Land of the Free?
  6. Maybe he see a trend that his readership is getting more and more like Homer.
  7. Yes indeed. There was a time when she was very hot.
  8. Vientienne (sp?) out South Pattaya Road near Sukhumvit is rumored to be both good and authentic.
  9. As others have said, you gotta book early to get the seats (which are few) I don't know about other airlines but United release seats into the FF system 331 days before departure (call your airline and ask, they'll tell you). I'm usually on the phone to them as soon as they release when I'm trying to fly a popular route.
  10. When I first started visiting LOS I preferred LT because it was so nice waking up together and having a nice relaxed morning shag. But over the years the BS aimed at copping a LT fee for what amounted to a slightly extended short time session got to be more trouble than it was worth. I don't even bother trying for a LT session anymore. Anymore my approach is "Give me a short time, honey -- I'll hit Soi6 in the early afternoon for my "AM" action."
  11. I stayed there for about 5 days in May, in one of the top floor rooms, and liked the place alot. Seemed like very good value for money to me. I especially liked the in-room coffee/tea facilities. AC was in good working order and the bed was good enough for me. There was an in-room safe in the room I occupied. Lots of closet/storage space. Housekeeping did a fine job - the place was clean throughout. The owner, Vic (I didn't meet Jane), is a nice guy and seems well focused on his customers' satisfaction. The food and bar service on the ground floor was efficient and the food was fine a
  12. I really enjoy Alt Heidelberg and try to catch a meal there during every trip to PTY. I especially like their fried potatoes (Kartoffelen? my german is abysmal) and saurkraut.
  13. Not so ... The Boeing 777 is intentionally unstable (without the flight control computer) in pitch. This confers substantial weight savings (range or payload improvement) albeit at the expense of system complexity. (We supply the 777 flight control electroincs). In Boeing flight control systems the pilot can command manuevers up to (and beyond) the limits of the aircraft. Doing so is met with tremendous physical resistance from the flight controls as a means of indicating to the pilot that he is reaching the design boundaries. But he is in no way taking control away from the flight co

  15. Once upon a time, in a church somewhere in the countryside of New England the congregation was gathered for Sunday service. Just as the pastor was about to ascend the pulpit there was a flash of blinding light, a burst sulphurous stench and Satan appeared before the congregation. Panic ensued and all went fleeing from the church, except for but one crusty old gent who remained sitting in the pew. Satan sees the old guy and is most perplexed. He approaches him, peers at him and with obvious displeasure asks, "Don't you realize who I am, old man?" "Ay-yup, sure do", comes the calm a
