Stop in at the duty free shop in the airport and pick up a bottle and the 7-11 are open. With all the bars closed the Nana Hotel parking lot should have a lot of early rental returns. I consider the Kings birthday a "target rich environment". Happy hunting.

I've had two credit cards cloned in Pattaya and another guy I know had the credit card side of his ATM cloned and his account drained dry. These cards were cloned at the Flipper Lodge.

Once you fly 50K in a year you get the gold card and your able to go into the various airline clubs. Free upgrades come your way when economy is full and they need to bump someone up. I've had this happen a few times with United. I like the star alliance because you can use your frequent flyer miles on any of them. I say it's a 6 hour flight. What difference does it make? I would be more interested what time I arrive then the minor differences in business class. Get in at the wrong time and you could spend a long time in line at immigration and then there's the traffic.

I'm surprised they charged you extra for business class as the equipment change was on them.

With the high price of gas, I don't see any bargains in the near future. Best price from Philly to BKK is a little over 1K for January departures. Last year I was paying $700-750.

I am also wondering if there are any advantages/disadvantages to staying on soi 6. I like starting the day off with a good BJ and soi 6 is the place to get it. Quuen Vic serves good food.

Why should I limit myself to one hotel especially since Sky-Top didn't have the room I liked available.
