  1. Get off the Sky-Train at Silom Station. MBK is across the street. Great place to meet women. ;D ;D ;D
  2. Check out www.majesticsuites.com Great location on Sukhumvit. Guest friendly, in room safe around the corner from Nana. Cheap and clean about 1000 per night.
  3. I checked their price from Philly to BKK departing 20/1/04 returning 18/3/04. Price was $760. The same price as United plus I know I get frequent flyer miles.
  4. soi 8 to Walking street by baht bus, no traffic, no stops about 3 minutes. Soi 2 to Walking street about 6 or 7 minutes. Tims Beer Bar to soi 8 a few minutes walking about 20 minutes to Walking street.. Pattaya is easy to get around by baht bus. Lots of good places to stay, www.flippergroup.com Flipper Lodge on soi 8 for 800 per night.   5. Every BG, I know wants to make the trip to the airport. ;D I don't sleep my last night and I leave Pattaya at 2AM for United 6:30AM flight.
  6. Markland Hotel is a good place to stay. Beach Rd is right out the door. BigC shopping center is one block away on 2nd Road. Guest friendly and the baht bus is right out the door.
  7. redevilgak, Due to the heavy air pollution in BKK many people use nasal inhaler. Did the driver drive safely? Any problem finding your hotel in Pattaya? Was the car clean? Any hassle with the price? This is the high season and Alex can't be in two places at once. One time Alex did send this guy and I had no problem with him. 27 days until I use Alex services.
  8. I've stayed on soi 7 & 8 many times but somehow I missed the hundreds of screaming bargirls chasing me. Pattaya is easy to get around espically the area you are interested in. From soi 2 to Walking Street by baht bus if there is no traffic is less then a 5 minute ride up Beach Rd. From Walking Street walk one block to Second Rd and go with the traffic flow toward soi 2 almost all the bars, clubs,mp, etc are located within that rectangle. As soon as you get to your hotel pick up your free map.
  9. We are located on 2nd Road about 100 meters from soi 6 going toward soi 7. Our hotel is aimed toward the backpacker market. Some rooms have ac others fan. No tv or fridge. Guest friendly. Place is clean and cheap. Price 250 and up.

  11. I know a couple of guys who live there and they love it. Your close to everything. Your right on Beach Rd. Depending on traffic less then 5 minutes to Walking Street.

  14. If your still looking for a room during the high season. Sky-Top has availability and my hotel the Alamo is located 50 meters away from Sky-Top on 2nd Rd. I own 50% of a newly renovated 9 room backpacker type guest house. Some rooms have ac others fans. No fridge or tv. New mattress and we are guest friendly. The price is cheap and the place is clean.   16. Gus, I talked to a guy who stayed at the Peninsula last week. He booked a double and they charged him a extra night room rate ($150USD) when he brought a girl back.
  17. I used Alex early in October. He was on time. I plan on using him when I come back for 2 months next January.
  18. New fridge, clean rooms, no pool. Hotel has a safe. No lock boxes. No balcony. Remember the room rate is 350 per day. Other hotels have more amenties but the price is alot higher. This is a excellent value for the price.

  21. Looking for a excellent hotel for 350 per night. IMHO a much better value then the Flipper Lodge. Rooms are much better then expected for the price. New 20" tv, fridge. Good a/c. New pool table, I was there when it was delievered last week. New cues. ADSL internet cafe, 1b per minute. Massage and beer bars on premise. Great location on Second Road less then 50 meters to soi 6. Hotel is located next to the Tourist Police Station. Hotel is American owned. Excellent cheap resturant less then 15 meters from hotel. Gregs kitchen early bird specials for 169. Down side is noisy beer bars next store.   22. partyanimal, Couple of days after you arrrive in BKK call United in BKK and have them update your frequent flyer record and have them book your premier ecomony seats. Don't know about the other question. Airline policy changes day to day. Hope your able to make the trip.

  24. Airfares remind me of Crazy Eddie's (audio store salesman) ad's "our prices are INSANE". Sounds like you got a more then decent price over the Xmas holiday's. I also will comare the prices to a women's moods during her period.....
  25. Thanks for the "heads up" on immigration and boarding passes. I always save my boarding passes untill I get home to make sure my frequent flyer miles are posted to my account. I've had to send my stubs off to the airline to get credit. No hassle as long as you have the stub.
