Sigh......Sept 6th or June 9th.....????????????? It doesnt' matter, as of 03:00 Hours on 28 September, all flights will be into the new BKK airport which is 18 miles east/southeast of Bangkok. The old airport, which at 03:00 on 28 September will become DBK, is about 15 1/2 miles north of Bangkok. So you will take a taxi into Bangkok just as you did from the old airport and the time involved should be about the same. You haven't been reading the board?

Absolutely Not! I've stayed at the Sandy Spring (no 's' btw) and it is NOT anywhere nearly "as nice." Don't know how you could possibly compare the two. Seems you were also at Topical Bert's. How would you compare that to the Whitehouse Condotel and The Sandy Spring? Have you actually stayed at these hotels or are you trying to promote your web site?

Apparently there was a pool built on the roof, but, last I heard, access to that pool has yet to be achieved. T.I.T.

Such as? I've not stayed there, but took a look and I don't recall seeing another hotel in Pattaya with rooms of that quality **at that price.**

From: http://www.atwonline.com/news/story.html?storyID=6506 "Bangkok's $4 billion Suvarnabhumi Airport still set to open next week despite coup Thursday September 21, 2006 Except for one cancelled Emirates Hong Kong-Bangkok flight Tuesday, airline operations into and out of Thailand appear to be operating normally and without disruption despite this week's bloodless military coup. Coup leader and apparent interim head of state Army Chief Gen. Sonthi Boonyaratglin said yesterday that Bangkok's long-delayed $4 billion Suvarnabhumi Airport will open next week as planned and a similar statement was offered by Airports of Thailand. Limited operations at Suvarnabhumi already have started with flights this week by Thai Airways and Jetstar, while Bangkok Airways is scheduled to operate flights from the airport today. The new airport, which claims to have the world's largest terminal building (563,000 sq. m.) and tallest control tower and also features a spa and bowling alley, is scheduled to be fully operational by Sept. 27, with most if not all commercial flights to Don Muang Airport ceasing by Sept. 28. However, carriers previously warned ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawarta that the new airport may not be ready for full-scale operations. Airlines have expressed concern that the baggage system will have problems, and the facility failed luggage handling tests earlier this month (ATWOnline, Sept. 11). The airport has been designed to handle 45 million passengers and 3 million tons of cargo annually. by Aaron Karp"

One more time. It has nothing to do with the aircraft but with the airline and how they, the airline, have chosen to outfit the interior of their aircraft. Of course, the newer planes will have newer interiors and newer electronics, but some of the airlines are refurbishing their older aircraft and/or replacing them. Regardless of what they say in the press, Thai Air is, or is near, broke and have let their aircraft deteriorate. The same has been said about their service.

You might consider Mr. Phairoj Munchit, 086-774-5643. Reliable, excellent driver, and knows Pattaya and Bangkok well. -

With this new version of the software you have click the box below your message indicating you want a copy. However, Martin was kind enough to provide a switch in your setup configuration where that can become your default setting. -

Well... now that you bring it up.............. Twice I've gone to look at my most recent 10 post and the result is the same as you described above. -
The more places to the right of the first decimal, the smaller the changes. From 2.1.5 to 2.1.7 would indicate a extremely small change in the software. Probaby what is referred to as a "minor bug fix."

EVA $600 from Sacto,Calif. RT in November.
Samsonite replied to The_Dude's topic in Airline Discussion
Is that a United Airlines shuttle from Sacramento to SFO? -
Talk is faster than Secrets, usually, but both, now that they are running the same "new" version of the same software package are SLOW. I don't have this problem ANYwhere else and didn't have this problem here until after the "upgrade" so I can only conclude the problem lies within this current version of the board software.
-
I have to agree. The only places I've encountered this problem is, first, Secrets, and, now, here, after the "upgrade." It is getting to be such a problem it is hardly worth the effort anymore, here or over at the progeny's site.

Can you buy viagra in Pattaya
Samsonite replied to silverspur3's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Unless you have some unusual medical condition for someone your age, you really shouldn't be taking it in the first place. -
EVA $600 from Sacto,Calif. RT in November.
Samsonite replied to The_Dude's topic in Airline Discussion
Very good deal. As EVA doesn't fly out of Sacramento what airline will you be using to get to and from SFO? Probably faster to drive from home directly to SFO. -
Agreed. The pages change and display MUCH slower than the old version of the software. Same problem over at secrets where it is even worst than here and I have a relatively fast DSL connection.
-
So, If I'm reading this correctly you can get in and out of the rooms without being seen from the bar?
-
Is the entrance to the hotel on Second Road or Soi 6/1?
-
About the same, depending on traffic.
-
Don Muang is 25 Km or 15 1/2 miles north of central Bangkok. The new airport, Suvarnabhumi, is 29 Km or 18 miles east/southeast from central Bangkok.
-
Thanks for researching and solving the problem.
-
I've been checking it almost every time I sign on and nothing has changed.
