First flight of the Boeing 747-100 was Feb. 9, 1969, and it went into commercial service with Pan Am in January 1970, so you can say 36 or 37 years depending on which way you want to count it. The current generation, the 747-400 entered service in February 1989, but the latest version of the -400, the 747-400ER went into service in November of 2002. Many airlines have been refurbishing their older 747-400s with new interiors similar to the B-777 and the airlines are still taking delivery of new 747-400s. A new generation, the Boeing 747-8, should enter service in September 2009.

Thanks for the photos. I like the gullwing look as seen from the head on shot. Thanks, again.

Done deal.

You might consider The Inn of The Golden Crab, Soi 13.

If you book through the hotel they definitely change the rates. If you read through all the reviews of the Sandy Spring you will find people claiming they were charged a different rate than the next guy. Sandibar does not.

Must be a demo only. A finished A380 won't be delivered to the launch airline, Singapore, until November or December, if then. Unless it is delivered "ready to go," which would be unlikely, it will take Singapore Air another month or so to prepare it for commercial service. So, you will not see an A380 in passenger service until December '06 or January '07 at the earliest.

SKY BEACH CONDOMINIUM NAKLUA

Great pictures. Very nice sunset shot. What's the tariff on the condos? How about the Julie Hotel? Can you get to the Julie Hotel by Taxi? Many Thanks. -
As we enter the traditional vacations months for many parts of the world, the fares start to rise by mid/late May and stay up until mid/late September. You can mark your calendars by it. One airline was charging their usual "off season" fares until 13/14 May. On Monday the 15th the fare went up by $160.00US. By next month I think it will be up at least another $80.00US or more. By mid/late September it will be right back to where it was on 13 May. Tom, where are you when we need you?

Justice? Has a nice ring to it. Let me look that up............. You're right. Rarely seen.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the first service "person" to be jailed under this new regulation was a woman?

As I've said before, I've stayed there and don't get the appeal, but if you must you will get a better deal from the following link than you will from dealing with the hotel directly. http://www.scandibar.com/hotel/

This question come up every now and then, here and on other boards. In another thread the topic was how much the girls like to gossip, Yak, Yak , Yak, and many times I've heard them talking about who they like and dislike, by nationality, based on the general hygiene habits of each group. One has to understand that the Thai are particularly sensitive to body odors. They don't consider individuals, but talk in general terms and you would not like to hear what they have to say about East Indians. We all know this is a racist and unfair generality, but you will have to fight that preconceived stereotype. Once they get to know you their opinion will change. Good Hunting.

The effect will be minimal to unnoticeable. I would rather have the military than the lager louts.

Nova Park off Second Road across from about Soi 6 or 6/1. NOT Nova Lodge, but Nova Park. http://www.novaparkpattaya.com/ -
Did you read the whole paragraph? The faucet was installed backwards. However, anywhere else I've stayed, backwards or not, if you start in the middle and work one way or the other you get more hot or cold water. With this faucet if you started in the middle you never got, for whatever reason, water hot enough to take a shower. Unless, of course, you prefer lukewarm showers.

Sorry, not at this time. However, I have been told by management that if there is the demand, it will be installed.

hotel closet to the action
Samsonite replied to usmc3816's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
You're welcome. I understand what you were trying to do, but there is a BIG difference between Soi 13 and the rest of them. -
Sorry, think you confused me with bianchigiu. April, May, June are the HOT THAN HELL season. I was looking at the Pattaya forecast yesterday and it said a high of 90 with a heat index of 105. That heat index will get up to 120 on some days. Too hot to do much of anything from late morning until sunset. It is hot and humid 9 months out of the year with December, January, and February being the only months with beautiful weather.

hotel closet to the action
Samsonite replied to usmc3816's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
There are hotels and a few restaurants on Soi 13, but no short time rooms. Perhaps, you are referring to Soi 13/1 AKA Soi Yamoto, Soi 13/2 AKA Soi Post Office, Soi 13/3 AKA Soi Pattayaland, or Soi 13/4 AKA Soi Pattayaland 2 ? -

There are several hotels either right on or very close by to Walking Street. Del Mar, Diamond, Lideo Beach, and many others. -
Have you checked the main pool at Sabai Lodge?

Hotel Reservations Online or in Pattaya?
Samsonite replied to bane718's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Depends on the hotel. Some charge walk-ins more, what is called the "rack rate," than those who make an advance reservation. Some do not. -
