  1. Hi there. Who did you book with??? Great price.
  2. Be carefull with Air Asia lads, there is a lot of add ons especially if you want to take luggage (even small amount) and seat reservation. Have a look at some of the review sites about punctuality, customer services, seat width. I guess you get what you pay for though.
  3. Couple of years ago I bar fined a beauty from here called Arunee, and fell for her. Saw her for the next 3 years on the trot. Anyone else BF her or ever heard from her. I hear she is now with a sponsor from Denmark. She always said that it was the best bar she ever worked at. I wonder why??
  4. Many congrats and may you have many years of happiness together. Its great when you see it work out with a BM
  5. Good luck Pete, can you keep some of the more good looking ones on ice util I get there in April.
  6. I fancied a change this year from areca and have sent lk 4 emails for 3 rooms end of april for 21 nights. I thought they may have shown an interest but No emails even acknowledged. Has given us bad vibes. I like the look and reviews of pbr and am considering them now or might just cut our losses and go back to the areca.
  7. Lads, I am due to be in the LOS in June and am planning a side trip of 10 days from BKK to Penang and then returning to Samui. Have had a look at the price of flights on Thai and I almost shit myself. Air asia was much cheaper on BKK-PEN route but the web site was unclear as to luggage allowance. Also they dont fly to Samui. Obviously BKK air fly to Samui but not from Penang. Am I being a bit to ambitious with my plans or do you ex pats and frequent visitors know something I don't. Any suggestions are welcomed.
  8. THIS THREAD IS FAST GETTING BORING
  9. Gents, Although not really a cheap Charlie, (well OK, just a little bit) I am on a well tight budget this year mainly because of the falling exchange rate. I need to save as much as I can to spend on R&R I would like to return back to the Areca. Can anyone recommend which site is best to book it on. I'm looking for two rooms for 21 nights in April after Songkran. The Areca's own site quote 1200 for standard room, can't seem to get a better deal on a number of the usual hotel booking sites. I'm sure we paid 1,000 last year. Any recommendations? Also anyone know if the buildi
  10. Anyone know if the new Holiday Inn on Beach Road is open yet? Price per night? Guest friendly?
  11. Has anyone been to the Areca recently. Whats the building works like now? Is it complete? Has it made any difference?
  12. WARNING:- Last year in April, joiner fee at Dusit 1,000b and not made welcome at all.
  13. Hi folks, I have been told be a friendly frequent visitor to Pattaya who is also a Manager of a Holiday Inn in UK that a holiday Inn is due to open in December in Pattaya? Anyone have any news or confirmation of this. I have just visited their website and nothing is mentioned.
  14. Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest, but this is a great idea. Pete, can you get an extra box of the green beer mats in for me when I arrive in April.
  15. Congratulations on another year under your belt Adam. Here's to the next three.
  16. EMIL, you are spot on. I am confusing both. I thought they were one of the same person. I recall when staying at the Areca last year there was a notice in the room that the taxi office opposite the hotel was not allowed to come onto Areca property. Not sure if it is the same one. I have always thought Mr T and Mr Toom was the same person. I am more confused now. Who should I use? Who is the safest? Who is the most reliable? Who is the cheapest?
  17. I can never sleep on the flight over. Normally wie awake and stiff with erotic thoughts. Have even gone into the loo for a pull before the plane has crossed the English Channell.
  18. I have read some mixed reports re Mr T. I am looking to change my regular driver for someone who is SAFE and RELIABLE. Sometimes it seems like Mr T's taxis fit the bill, sometimes not. I wonder what the most recent views are. What is his current rate for BKK - Pattaya. Anyone wanna share. Arriving BKK 24 April 0745. Any recent comments on his service also appreciated.
  19. Ended up biting the bullet and paying £449.50 with Qatar for April departure on Qatar air website direct.. No credit card charge which was usefull. If I had taken some of the earlier advice above I could have flown direct with Eva for about twenty quid more. I wont dare to look at the prices now inacse they come down a bit. I am returning to LOS in June/July and the prices are still in the mid-upper five hundreds. Thanks guys for those of you who gave some good advice. Rascall
  20. I was interested until I read no pool. I loke to entertain my guest in the pool.
  21. Have just visited ebookers site as recommended above but it is showing me £614.49 as the fare for Eva. Ouch. I think the best deal is as stated by other Bm with eva air direct.
