  1. I drank as much free booze as humanly possible! Actually it was the return trip that this all occurred on. TGs had me worn out so sleep was not a problem.
  2. I understand what you are saying better now. I have never had a real problem with this as I seldom leave my seat during the flight. On the last trip from SFO to TPE I slept most of 8 hours and only left the seat once for a toilet break. I guess it really depends upon the traveller and their preferences.
  3. Perhaps I am misunderstanding something herebut you start off by saying that the seating is an improvement and you finish by giving your condolences to trans Pacific passengers for having to fly triple 7's. Sounds a bit contradictory to me? I personally would prefer to make the flight on a 777-300 ER than on a 747-400 Combi.
  4. I remember seeing a post about this awhile ago but thanks for the reminder.
  5. Same same me. I just have to work at making it happen.
  6. An oldie but a goodie.
  7. *burrrrrpp**furball pops out* Sorry Chris.
  8. Mr Toom does not do all of the driving that people book through him. I booked through Mr toom last trip and the driver he supplied me with was from Naklua. I also have his card and will likely give him a call next trip as he already offered me a better price than Mr. Toom.
  9. Gee you are being really nice to folks today Frank. I bet you're helping little old ladies across the street as well.
  10. Sounds like crap as you won't have the tolls to pay. Someone will come along and underbid him.
  11. As a general rule Economy Restricted ususally means fares are cheaper than other fares but they have requirements such as minimum stay, maximum stay, advance purchase with rebooking, rerouting and refund limitations. The ones that really make a difference are the rebooking, rerouting and refund limitations. These are the things that make such tickets not feasible for some flyers.
  12. I will have to warn you that most deities are not exactly on speaking terms with me at the moment.
  13. Thanks for the heads-up Martin. guys like me would be lost without their security blanket.
  14. I don't think the 2 airlines have any baggage handling agreements, therefore no luck for you on this. You would most likel;y have to collect your bags on arrival in country anyway in case customs wanted to check your bags. This is almost always at the port of arrival which in this case is BKK. Most countries in the world operate this way. Customs is not available at most domestic terminals only internationals.
  15. Welcome to the board retep1. I think keny's advice is good. Tickets are generally cheaper at the Thai end. You may need to show a return ticket out of Thailand so a one way in will not be good enough.
  16. Please post the pics. What was the room rate there?
  17. Welcome to the board prince123. If you are going tomorrow then I would suggest that you get busy reading some of the recent threads regarding these things as you may not get much response at this time. Sorry I can't help you as i'm not there right now.
  18. Thanks for copying your post over to here Mark. I was going to suggest it but I forgot.
  19. Another fine addition to the annals of Monkeywatch, complete with the requisite number of groaners. I let out a particularly loud groan after this one. Til next month, keep 'em coming monkeyman.
  20. Be even more careful of deadman. He is a tosser who likes ladyboys but tries to deny it by faking memory loss.
