  1. Blain (Jesse Ventura) Predator "I am the chosen one, the mighty hand of vengeance" *Note, for post 35 you could have had Evil Dead 3, Bruce Campbell's character although he didn't say "Gort! " at the start...:)
  2. Hi, Atlas, that's a pretty intense lesson there mate!. Thanks for the link I have heard a lot about the "Flashman" books, as I tend to trawl old bookshops whenever I get the chance I'll keep an eye out. Car boot sales when we're in the UK (like now) are also a great source for books, 25 pence each I consider them a bargain. By pure coincidence I stumbled upon a box today we'd packed away ages ago, opening it up I found a collection of old "Sven Hassel" books from my schooldays... I have considered a kindle, it does make good sense actually but my Ipad has a kindle app which seldom ge
  3. I might ask you the same thing, I'm not "speaking" to anyone, I'm writing (specifically, typing). I think a majority of the membership are perfectly clear on what the title says and manage to understand. There is actually nothing wrong with the title, either grammatically or spelling wise, so in answer to your question, I'm not actually speaking a language here, I'm writing in English. Will that be all, you fucking half brain?.
  4. Hi Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to trawl amazon and Ebay for Killer Angels and Cain at Gettysburg, I'll also try my best to find the Edward Coddington book Evil, and BigD, that list is pretty detailed but again, thanks, there's some good suggestions although some might be out of print, the biography of Stonewall Jackson is one which caught my eye along with a few others. I might well look to find one from each section. Thanks again guys, I've got a bit of searching to do now, plus some spending I imagine. Any of the books I finish with , as long as they're not out of print or
  5. Hi, Open topic. I like to read, but mostly my bookshelf consists of Military History, specifically WW2 European and Asia Pacific campaigns along with some stuff on Omani History and numerous work related tomes. Along the same lines, I'm becoming interested in the American Civil War and also I'm interested in personal accounts like diaries, first hand accounts and how veterans' lives changed after the conflict. The problem is that with the Internet being a great source for obtaining books, getting a true or good recommendation is difficult. If anyone can suggest anything that gives a c
  6. Yeah but there is (was) one exceptionally skilled girl there by all accounts who isn't much to look at but has given one or two BM's the BBBJ of their life. She sucked my mate for 40 minutes non stop, and he missed his "round" as a result, the cheap cunt. Austhai7, do you still meet Wayne etc on a Friday for drinks?.
  7. I've had a Friday afternoon on the piss in Bliss lounge , the drinks are very reasonably priced and generously poured and the girls are great fun if you want to play pool etc. Can't fault the place.
  8. Billions, It's to do with when the airlines release the seats mate. EVA have released a number of seats on the aircraft between specified dates for a specified price, Thai have yet to do so thus their standard seat price applies. Come Xmas the offers come out and with any luck Thai will bulk release their seats for a set price depending upon their competitors. Nothing to do with Cargo. EVA used to run 747-400 Combis on the LHR-BKK route (half cargo half passenger) which they converted to full cargo and ended up putting a 777-333ER service between LHR-BKK as it was more lucrative. I know t
  9. I've been refunded by Agoda in the past , fairly hassle free experience. FWIW my friend went direct and got a price not far off the Agoda offering. One thing I've noticed is that Agoda etc don't include the 17% taxes etc in their prices, so this needs to be factored in when looking at the final figures.
  10. Bloody hell, when you think it's the "grandaddy" of what we now have as cruise missiles, it's amazing at the level of engineering the Nazis had back then.
  11. Great pics Firth. .... What's the second from last pic of? Is that a bloody great bomb?. I've recently read on another forum that there might to be an attempt to get several airworthy Spits and Hurricanes to Northholt next Sept. http://www.warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-news/world-biggest-gathering-spitfires-hurricanes-planned-summer.html If it is the case then I'll definitely be going, although it's more than a year away.
  12. Great post Atlas, I really enjoyed reading it and seeing things from your (fortunate) viewpoint. My whole favourite thing about anywhere in SEA is (when out of town) the early morning smell. Whenever we're in Bicol there's always a nice, fresh smell in the air before the heat sets in, first thing in the morning as the rice vendors are drying the rice on the roads and people going about their daily business. I like hearing the "swoosh swoosh" of the rattan broom as it sweeps the tiled floor, and the local girls wandering around in baggy T shirts and jogging pants...(Why do Asian girls
  13. Thanks Evil, safe trip and for airline food that looks better than most!.
  14. The beauty of BA is that you can book different classes on the separate legs (econ then premium econ or premium econ to business etc). When using their website it also gives the one way journey fare, & when booking return it breaks the price down. I have flown BA a couple of times cos they codeshare with Cathay. I wouldn't say they're brilliant but from the reports I've read about Finnair I'd probably opt for a different airline.
  15. bloody hell. They even add sugar to their version of Spaghetti bolognese in the Philippines. When Italians say "just like a mama used to make" they're actually not far wrong. When I was a nipper my best mate was half Italian, every time I went to his house his Mum always insisted on feeding me. Didn't take me long to work out that Friday was "spag bol" night made to an old family recipe. Nice find Evil.
  16. Best I can offer concerning Personal medical records is as follows: http://bma.org.uk/practical-support-at-work/ethics/confidentiality-and-health-records Scroll down to "disclosing data for secondary purposes" Also it mentions further down that any information given to insurers needs your consent, apparently. However, bear in mind mate that if you go to a private sector company to get an MRI (as advertised in the UK, healthscreen for example ) they are bound by different rules and regulations, part of which, as I'm led to understand it is that you effectively give them permissi
  17. One note, the economy seat pitch on the BA flights is 31 or 32 inches (don't exactly remember) On the EVA econ it's 34, and on Thai it's between 32 and 34 depending where you're sat if on a 747 or 34 if you're on an A340. I heard a yarn that Etihad are currently £545 ish. I sound like a bloody anorak don't I?.
  18. Strangely enough I didn't hang around long enough to find out lol.
  19. There's a few establishments in boyztown which serve ginger beer(s). Seriously though, I used to make my own Ginger Beer and Sloe gin, until once while I was picking sloe berries a bloke came along and asked if he could suck my cock. I had no idea I'd stumbled upon a "gay" haunt, and before anyone says it, it is my story and I'm bloody sticking to it!. Good crop of sloes this year apparently. I might even take a few orders for Butch's home made Sloe gin if anyone is interested.
  20. Here's a link telling you what nflight and aircraft Thai are using and on what routes as from July 1 2014. it's a .pdf file. http://www.thaiairways.com/static/co..._Oct_14_V2.pdf
  21. Read today that Thai are going to use the 787's on the BKK-Perth-BKK routes. Still no news on their move to T2 LHR, or anything about phasing in the A380. Guess it's business as usual then...
  22. Always enjoy my meals there. Unfortunately I don't have such distractions to allow my food to go cold Thanks for the pics Evil.
  23. Hi, Every time I click on the members bar area, the topics are lsited but there seems to be a problem with the one by "glassdude". I took a pic with my phone to show what I mean, not sure if anyone else gets the same thing?. BTW, yes, I clean my cache every time. Using firefox. Rest of the forum is fine, just this particular post. (nothing against Glassdude either...)
