Isn't that still fairly young for a long haul airframe, in the sense of number of cycles it would have done?. I did some more reading up on business insider, it seems there is a lot of value in parts and they suggest that the Aircraft was only half way through its life.

Oh, sorry, to be honest Bazle that was the impression I was under, (albeit misinformed - sorry). Maybe it's more "policy" than an actual decision then. Either way, getting your pension index linked in the RP must be a bonus over not getting in in LOS. An extra tenner or so a month goes a fair way. Then again, my state pension age is scheduled at 67, by the time I reach that it'll probably be higher, or maybe even nothing at all.

The RP won’t, they’re actively encouraging foreign investment and if anything making the visa regs easier. 1 year balikbayan visa on arrival if you ask nicely and tell them your girlfriend / fiancée will be arriving later or is waiting for you . Also your UK pension is index linked there and goes up every year, unlike Thailand (which is a UK Govt decision but still helps and encourages retirement there. It’s been getting progressively easier to settle there over the last 20 years or so , even for single western males. Factor in the improving infrastructure and subdisvisions being built wi

Just over a decade old (the Planes, not the link). https://www.traveller.com.au/first-two-retired-a380-superjumbos-to-be-broken-up-for-parts-h110ps

PHP hit over 67 this morning!! Waheeey!! Hopefully as things begin to settle politically in the UK then we will see an increase. Rawhide your advice on buying or selling on the rumour was spot on, one friend managed to get 67 php yesterday morning, it then dropped again half a peso or so when some negative news came out, all due to a simple bloody news feed!.

Shrinking Pattaya Reservoirs
Butch replied to forcebwithu's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
How did you get the Oil off then? ?? -
They might well be Omani girls or perhaps Emiratis. Some of them carry an outrageous beauty about them, especially if they herald from Muscat area. There are also one or maybe two Indian tribes which have been given Omani status and carry the benefits of being an Omani, such as those from areas of Baluchistan in Pakistan, but I'm not sure on how it works. I have seen Baluchi girls in Oman before and they can take your breath away with how they look. Next time you go Rawhide, just ask them mate.

When you compare this set up to LHR, it seems that LHR big wigs are missing a trick here. Free drop off / pick up points (albeit for a few mins and it is heavily patrolled) the car parks run at £4.20 for half an hour, and £7.50 for an hour. not cheap but cheaper than £25 for over 10 mins

Stansted charges for drop off as well, the tossers. I'm also surprised there aren't direct services to MAN from BKK, or indeed the other major airports apart from LHR. BKK is a global route, and the ideal stop off for onward flights to increasingly popular Vietnam, Philippines and elsewhere. Fingers crossed it comes off, I've heard they'll be using a 737- MAX though ??

I'll get my coat lol.:) Missed that one during my 5 min of extensive and detailed research (google flights). I still think you're on the button with transit pax though, according to wiki MAN was the 3rd busiest in the UK in 2017, that equates to a lot of pax heading to Asia and beyond.
-
I agree, might be trying to snare some transit pax. I think there's only one MAN-HKG direct operated by Cathay, no direct to Singapore and nothing to BKK as yet. Makes some kind of sense from that perspective at least.

Why does masturbation get such a negative reaction?
Butch replied to weareacouple's topic in Idle Chit Chat
It's natural, healthy and everybody does it at one time or another. It seems to be one of those taboo subjects in society which really is "out of bounds". It isn't discussed within families, it isn't discussed during banter at work (as such), and it is rarely, if ever, discussed socially. The consensus among people not wanting to say the "M" word, is that it is "dirty", the actual name from years ago "self abuse" implies that it is something that we shouldn't be doing, but it has changed now to "self gratification" which still has questionable connotations. Most people refer to it as mast -
Ahh OK, Cheers Neil, I've since looked at BA's PE on the 787 and it is actually very good indeed. When I was making a comparison between EVA and BA for my dates, BA was around £100 more expensive.

Ahhh... the Little duck, with the nightclub behind it called the Disco Duck. I stayed there once around the same time, 2001. It had a great pool but the rooms were shabby and really dated, but for 600 thb per night I wasn't complaining.

Any pics?, Menu type etc?. I like that area, a bit more peaceful than the centre of town. I was a big fan of Freeway A GoGo.

It used to be known as Seeb International before it was modernised, I spent enough time in and out of it during the 70's up to the mid 00's to agree that it once was a dump of the highest order. Things change and my friends say it is a pretty good airport as far as airports go.

14/11/19 - UK time is 16:19 - PT going very slow and the message above appears. Same again at 16:21, 16:24 Not sure if it is my end or PT end, but I'll log out, reset my PC and log back in later.

Bloody hell Rawhide, there can't be that many carriers left for you to try ? They route via Frankfurt, the product is very good, I went over to youtube to see how the cabins are in Econ and PE, very impressive.

Nice with Ice was an upstairs bar next to the PO (or just up from it) one would take a copy of the Times, sit down at the bar which had cut outs in it along with a small curtain to protect your privacy, and the girl would get to work. Pumpstation was the same premise, also Golden girls a bit further up was a traditional BJ bar. Pumpstation also had a small sofa and curtained off area if you wanted to go further with the girl. Or so I'm led to believe.

I'll be carrying a lot of stuff. then again, the average motosomchai can handle some serious luggage, so it might be an option.
-
That's a very good price. Lufthansa are one of the better airlines these days as well.
-
Couple of good suggestions there, cheers. I wasn't sure if I needed to charter a baht bus, but grab is also an option I hadn't thought of.
-
Does anyone know the easiest and best way to get to and from the Market from say, Central Pattaya or Bukhao?. I'm not sure if baht buses run up and down Theprassit from the junction of Thappraya Rd, so in essence it could be a 3 x baht bus journey plus a bit of walking.

Do you know if the 787 is currently in service on a route or is it part of a fleet upgrade and going to be brand new?. I'm currently deciding whether to book now for May 20, if this was going to be put into service earlier it might have been an option, given that the BA PE product on the 787 seems to be pretty good (or at least better than the 777 equivalent from the online reviews).
-
Didn't they do that recently?. Hopefully it'll be cumulative and star to make a difference soon, but then again I'm quite obviously no expert given my recent predictions
