I try to check all my notes prior to heading to Thailand as I know Thai banks are very picky over the condition of foreign currency they will accept. They tend to reject notes that have been written on or have tears in.

The Manchester flight is now Singapore - Manchester - Houston rather than SIngapore - Munich - Manchester, so Manchester to Singapore is now non-stop.

From what I can gather the Thailand v Malta match will now be played the same weekend in October 2017..... and will coincide with me being in Thailand again!!! Also just read on their facebook page they will be playing a Test match against an El Salvador Rugby League team in Sydney, Australia on February 4th 2017.....

Just checked for May and the dates when we should be going..... and the Oman Air price comes in at £659 on lastminute.com.... Emirates currently quoting £384... I think they will need to cut the prices to compete..

A330 MAN - MCT and then 787 Nightmareliner MCT-BKK. Just found this review on SeatGuru about the Nightmareliner... Have been checking the Oman Website, but MAN is not yet showing up yet.

Tempting price, but that's the basic price before extras are added, like selecting a seat and luggage.... that added £95 to the price when I did a dummy booking for 8 days later this month.

Ran a check for some dates next May and Air France/KLM offering flights at around a similar price to the Etihad prices from MAN to BKK.....

Due to local elections the match is now being played on the 28th October There is 2 matches being played, the first match being a Chang Mai Select team against an Issan Select team. I've been invited to the after match function (piss-up) And ex-NRL star Jarrod Sammut will be playing for Malta

I believe the commercial importation of e-cigs is banned, but for personal use is allowed.. On my last 3 trips I've had no problem taking them in and out.

Seen many people openly using e-cigs in Pattaya, and even hawkers selling them.

Manchester or down south??? No thanks I'll stick with where I live up in Cumbria... I've been to Heathrow airport twice, but never flown from there.... And I certainly wouldn't choose to fly from there...

Haven't fared to badly..... It helps that the Mrs is always with me so I get to go through them Thai side.... never had more that a 10 minute queue

If you think 105 minutes is bad, my last trip after I caught a bus down to Pattaya from Ekemai Bus station in Bangkok and it took 150 minutes..Drove slow but the worst bit was as we were nearing Pattaya he pulled into an LPG station and then kicked us all off while he filled up with gas.
