Whose name is it booked under? According to the reservation you posted, it is non-cancellable and non- modifiable.... If it's booked it your name the booking could be forfeited, if it's booked in your mates name you might get away with it..... but I doubt you'll get any takers.....

You never know when you will die..... so I just enjoy each passing day Someone I worked with retired 2 years ago with a very decent pension..... he only got to enjoy his retirement for 2 years as his funeral was 3 weeks ago....

I've got 5 years to go before hitting my retirement age (60), but thanks UK government interference I can't plan or budget anything to do with with my pensions for the next 12 months or so!!!! :banghead One thing I do know is that my existing pension(s), up until now, are protected.... That can't be taken away from me.... That is going to be the worse case scenario I will have to work with.as a base line for my retirement in Thailand And as it stands I would be able live quite comfortably in Thailand on that base line figure. My State pension and any inheritance or proceeds from my property in the UK are not going to be taken into consideration in my budgetary planning for retirement.

Interesting that the UK isn't implementing the ban as widely as the US. Qatar, Emirates and Etihad are missing off the UK list..... If a terrorist was seriously planning an attack on an aircraft, all it will do is shift the target to another airline, unless they force all airlines to bring in a blanket ban...

I picked up MAN-BKK in May with Qatar for £339 booking 5 months in advance...... Less than a week later the price had already shot up and on a recent search wasn't showing any cheap ticket availability at all on the flights we've booked.

Nothing to be ashamed of.... Not everybody is perfect, not even me!!! I've suffered severe depressions in the past, but that changed after finding Thailand. I've got a daughter who was diagnosed as being dyslexic and she hasn't let that hold her back, in fact if anything it has encouraged her.....

In the past I've used taxi's to and from the airport but nowadays always use the Bells Bus service to Pattaya.

If it does manage to open in April the chaos hasn't lasted the predicted 3 years.... mind you the roads in Thailand are chaos all the time!!!

Yesterday was looking at flights for my daughter, she is heading to Phitsanulok for a 2 week placement on a midwifery unit there as part of her degree course... Checked on netflights.com and their price was coming in at £458 for Etihad.... I then went on skyscanner.com and the same flights had Etihad at £448 through netflights.com..... went back to netflights and did the same search again and £448 came up...... 30 minutes later repeated the same exercise with the same results!!!! She had been quoted a price by www.studentuniverse.co.uk which was nearly £700..... when told we could get same flights £250 cheaper, lo and behold they dropped theirs to £460!!! Studentuniverse is part of Flight Centre Travel Group!!!

Flown with them twice....first time wasn't too impressed.... second time got upgraded to biz class on the return between Abu Dhabi and Manchester so thir standing with me improved a little bit, but their 23Kg allowance on the cheap fares puts me off a little bit. Daughter is flying with them in August as she heading to Phitsanulok for 2 weeks She is spending 2 weeks with a midwifery unit at a hospital there - Etihad was coming in at the best price....

My thoughts exactly...... He'd be better off with a battery powered one.

I usually arrive around about 7'ish in the morning and there are usually big queues at immigration, but me and Mrs Fiend go through the Thai and ASEAN desks so always get through quite quickly.

Why do I visit Pattaya? For the temples and the great beach!!! :rolleyes:
