  1. There's a few BM's that fly from Manchester so it would be a good idea!!!! Cheers Goldpanner....
  2. Ex-LHR no good for me..... means catching a shuttle flight down and Mrs Fiend wasn't too impressed on our recent return flight via LHR..... told me never to book via LHR again!!!!
  3. Sadly Thugdada won't be able to answer.... he chose to ignore being told not to bump this thread again so is now wearing a gimp mask.....
  4. It's not just limited to Pattaya..... there;s a couple of restaurants that were near my house up north that only had short life spans, despite doing great food and always being busy.... Luckily new ones have opened, so I've still got plenty of options!!!
  5. The routing we got for this trip was MAN-DOH-BKK and return BKK-DOH-LHR-MAN at a cost of £339 each. The price was too good to turn down and also meant we are not stuck in DOH waiting longer for flight to MAN. Also we get 2 Qatar A380s on way back rather than suffer being cramped on a 777 to DOH then a Nightmareliner to MAN. The LHR-MAN is a QR codeshare on a BA flight... :(
  6. Hope things are getting back to normal by Thursday, I've got a BA flight from LHR up to MAN on my return to the UK.....
  7. Don't worry.... we all have them... it's a sign of getting old!!!
  8. T-7 days and counting!!!

  9. I've been to Nanning and had no problem getting a shag there.....
  10. So your friends dates have changed and your still trying to sell it.... I'd dump him as a mate if he couldn't change to dates that were convenient to you..... Doesn't look like anybody is interested.... and if you bump this topic one more time you will get banned OK....
  11. For us BKK is best option for us as we fly up to Sukhothai.... As for immigration, always get through there pretty quickly using the Thai passport desks....
  12. I'll stick to flying into and out of Bangkok
  13. Apparently Qatar have just announced that they will be adding flights to U-Tapao International Airport, Pattaya.... I expect further details will emerge in due course.
  14. I actually found that video quite amusing at the end..... I'm a smoker and I also work in a certain industry which requires me to wear a dosimeter, undertake routine biological sampling and every so often I am given a whole body monitor. Surely they would be able to measure the dosage I receive by being a smoker, but my dosage measurements are no different to non-smokers that I work with. A whole body monitor is performed in a room shielded by steel from a warship built prior to WW2 and the advent of nuclear weapons for the purpose of reducing background radiation. It is used to detect if any radioactive material has entered your body.
  15. Most of the time I book through the airlines websites, but my next trip was done via an on-line agent. Buying 2 one way tickets could be a lot more expensive, but there's no harm in checking... try https://www.skyscanner.net/
  16. Apparently ther's been another case this week with United where a First Class passenger was getting bumped off a flight after boarding..... the man was threatened with being hand-cuffed.. http://www.latimes.com/business/lazarus/la-fi-lazarus-united-low-priority-passenger-20170412-story.html
  17. Excellent photo report again.... cheers for posting!!!
  18. A classic case of look, but don't touch.... Did you get checked to see if you picked up any contam during the tour. Nice to see statues commemorating the fire and rescue workers that lost their lives.
  19. What were your feelings as you were venturing into the exclusion zone, knowing that you were going to be exposed to high levels of radiation? Did it scare you?
  20. Northern England is fine and dandy too.... Mrs Fiend managed to find a water pistol but luckily she didn't use it on me!!!
  21. Seems as though they caught some of the culprits who've been soaking people with piss and shit!!!
  22. Great photos as always....
  23. Another interesting video..... this one done by a lawyer who has gone through Uniteds T & C's
  24. Republic could have been told by United not to offer more than $800.... Hence they resorted to involving the police to forcibly remove a "passenger/customer" who refused to get off the plane.
  25. Yes the flight is operated by Republic, but they are operating it for United, so are representing United..... if anything both United and Republic are at fault for this PR disaster.
