Yesterday was looking at flights for my daughter, she is heading to Phitsanulok for a 2 week placement on a midwifery unit there as part of her degree course... Checked on netflights.com and their price was coming in at £458 for Etihad.... I then went on skyscanner.com and the same flights had Etihad at £448 through netflights.com..... went back to netflights and did the same search again and £448 came up...... 30 minutes later repeated the same exercise with the same results!!!! She had been quoted a price by www.studentuniverse.co.uk which was nearly £700..... when told we could get same flights £250 cheaper, lo and behold they dropped theirs to £460!!! Studentuniverse is part of Flight Centre Travel Group!!!

Flown with them twice....first time wasn't too impressed.... second time got upgraded to biz class on the return between Abu Dhabi and Manchester so thir standing with me improved a little bit, but their 23Kg allowance on the cheap fares puts me off a little bit. Daughter is flying with them in August as she heading to Phitsanulok for 2 weeks She is spending 2 weeks with a midwifery unit at a hospital there - Etihad was coming in at the best price....

My thoughts exactly...... He'd be better off with a battery powered one.

I usually arrive around about 7'ish in the morning and there are usually big queues at immigration, but me and Mrs Fiend go through the Thai and ASEAN desks so always get through quite quickly.

My flights to Bangkok and return in May with Qatar cost £33.00 plus £306.24 in taxes per person!!!!

Mrs Fiend is the same, she hasn't a clue how much I earn and her only cares are about having money to buy food and being able to having enough money to send to Thailand for her to pay the mortgage on the house and family, money which she earns from working....

When is your booking? My booking in May has got the A380 on both DOH - BKK (QR830) and BKK-DOH (QR833), but I think in June they reduce the number of A380 BKK flights again Have a look over on http://www.routesonline.com/news/tagged/393/qatar-airways/ It's a good source for keeping an eye on schedule changes, or aircraft changes. Since I made my booking on Xmas Eve I've been informed 3 times about arrival/departure time adjustments... I booked at a time when they were sorting out their summer 2017 schedule changes.

Yet again you show a distinct lack of a sense of humour!!!

Most of the time I tend to book direct with the airline, but my most recent booking was made via netflights.com.... their price was 10 % cheaper and they were also quoting for Qatar flights between DOH and MAN via LHR an option which was not available with Qatar themselves. An option I took as the direct option would have meant a 7 hour layover plus I get an A380 instead of a Nightmareliner on my return to MAN.via LHR. Congrats on finally getting your refund...

I was actually looking at Cathay Pacific as well, and if we were flying out a few days later if would have been the option I went for..... Cathay Pacific are switching the Manchester rotation to A350 on June 2nd and was very tempted to try it, would also get to fly A350 and A340 between HKG and BKK... Hopefully later in the year I might book Cathay.

Etihad dropped off my list of favoured airlines when they changed the baggage allowances.... Mrs Fiend likes to bring plenty of Thai ingredients back with her so always hit the 30KG per person limit with Emirates and Qatar.... Good job I take a luggage scale with me when we go.

In May I'm flying with Qatar and my return routing is via LHR.... We've got 3 hours between landing at Terminal 4 and taking off from terminal 5...

Well, looks like my gamble of booking when I did paid off..... the price has already gone back up.... Also had a little bit of good news thanks to being signed up to myflightapp..... The BKK-DOH leg on the return has been swapped from a 777-300ER to an A380... So now I have 3 legs on the A380 and it will make the Nightmareliner leg easier to suffer...

The Nokia brand is getting relaunched and they are switching over to Android... It will be interesting to see how they go....

My trip is being paid for courtesy of working my normal shifts over Xmas and New year period... loads of triple time goodness thanks to working 12 hour shifts!!!

Finally got round to booking and went with the Qatar option with a twist.... and the deal came in at £339.24 each... And the twist? The route is MAN-DOH-BKK outward and the BKK-DOH-LHR-MAN on the return.... The good thing is we have the A380 DOH-BKK and DOH-LHR!!! The bad thing will be having to suffer the Nightmareliner MAN-DOH... The timing of the Oman Air flight put us off...

So some guys have too much time on their hands...... GoogleDUSA,- you're one of them, you seem to spend all your time googling crap and then posting it one here....

This year April temperatures hit the record books.. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-thailand-hot-april-20160427-story.html I was in Thailand in April for Songkran, and in May to attend a funeral..... Temperatures were hitting 45 degC up in Uttaradit.... There is plenty of information on the internet that tells you April is hotter than July!!!

People are more likely to believe info that comes from sources that have boots on the ground than somebody like GoogleDUSA who hasn't set foot on Thai soil for years!!!
