Lots of people would love to see the A380 on the LHR-BKK route however at long last the Thai Board of Directors are now understanding the economics of the airline industry. LHR-BKK is not a high revenue route and yields are much lower then other European routes where more money with this aircraft can be made. Having said all that who knows and perhaps Thai might just for prestige put this aircraft on the LHR-BKK route.

Thai Airways have no plans to introduce the A380 on the LHR-BKK route.

No chance of cheaper airfares until at least September. If bookings are down all the airlines will do is reduce the number of flights / substitute smaller aircraft and consolidate.

Looks like you will be flying only BA in the future then !

Don't think you will get the morning EK flight changed to A380 as the B777 -300ER is needed for the extra cargo it can carry over the A380. Emirates could operate 3 flights a day from Manchester with no passengers and still make a profit on the cargo they carry !

A380 service to start 17th June.

Looks like Etihad are looking to start ex Edinburgh within the next 12 months.

Qatar Airways due to operate A319 all business class flights LHR-DOHA starting in May ! Also first Qatar A380 has been delayed until June to coincide with the opening of the new Doha Airport

On the subject of empty seats Thai Airways have cancelled some flights on TG916/TG917 LHR-BKK Reduced from 7 to 5 weekly for :- 1-22nd May 10June-2nd July.
