service girls need ......as well
ben99 replied to alan lad's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Hi Alan I don't think I'll be barfining a service girl again. In July I barfined a service girl from your excellent Go Go Bad experience for me Barfined her after 2am and while she was very friendly inside the Go Go, she got quite stroppy/moody outside in Walking St. Anyway, I was quite pissed but well behaved so we got back to room, showered and I must have got to sleep about 3:30am. She woke me up at 5:30hrs saying she must go, as she needed to 'go pray Buddha' So a definate, pre agreed LT, turned into short time. I still felt obliged to pay LT rates. I 've no idea what her name was, except her sister was a dancer and they lived together. She was 27? and her sister about 20, shorter but a real stunner with her clothes off. I acknowledge this was an isolated incident and must not be taken as a reflection on you or your bar. All your staff are individuals after all, so it's hardly your fault. I thought about complaining the next day, but bottled it I really loved your Go Go and you had some real stunners I'll be seeing you next summer for sure. Take care -
can't beleive this thread i must confess - i did administer a hard spanking to a hot Freelancer......so if i had a full bladder and a suitable bathroom......it would turn me on greatly to do this make me feel like the all powerful male, totally dominating the BG slut would NOT like it done to me.......if i woke up and the BG was peeing over me----------lets just say she would get it UP THE ARSE HARD AND FAST whether she liked it or not ,while I slapped the hell out of her whore backside i wonder if this is something one could ask for in soi 6?

DAYS IN THE LIFE OF A PATTAYA HOTEL OWNER

My advice - stay in the Landmark and don't go back to Pattaya I'll pray for you and your sanity -
May I make a suggestion? When you go for a bowel movement - only squat for say 30 secs - wait until you feel the big push and then drop your trousers. DON'T even bother sitting on the seat, as this encourages straining - it's pointless trying to empty the bowel completely, as it soon fills up again. RESIST the temptation to pass the extra - I don't know if you have tried this but jsut squat for 30 secs, then wipe and go. I had a lot of blood about 5 years ago and I cured it by resorting to the above technique. I even had injections but they grew back. One Christmas, it was so bad, I couldnot go out, due to the blood and smell....but now it's all gone, due to the above method. I've had no problems for along time apart from the very occasion spot, which is nothing. If you've not done so, please try the above, it worked for me. I appreciate your condition may be far worse. Good luck. All the very best

Browsing the airline websites - I notice that in general, it's not possible to book a flight leaving in the very short term. However, with Emirates it's possible to book online for the next day. I found this to be quite impressive. http://www.emirates.com/uk/ Today the 27th, I can book for tomorrow, the 28th, departing Birmingham airport for a total price (including taxes) of £434.10 Longer term bookings seem to be around £546. All flights stop in Dubai. Only snag is the website appears to have some dead links and there appears to be no way of reserving a particular seat OR viewing the flight seating layout. I also notice that Qantas (much better, user friendly website) now have a flight from Birmingham. I beleive this is new? However, ECONOMY is £1400 compared to £620 from Heathrow. I think the flights are extremely limited. Would be cheaper to get a bloo*y taxi from Birmingham to Heathrow, LOL! Happy flying

Yep Tops is good but watch out for the hygeine standards. One of the smaller food kiosks (near the far end) the lady picked up several ingredients with bare hands and threw it into the pot. Why does it matter - well eventually someone will be unlucky and pick up food poisoning - I certainly felt rather rough at times, after eating here - but the upside is a wonderful filling plate of stirfry Chicken for 50 baht. I normally order two. They also have a two tier pricing system. The bar girl i was with got hers for 20 baht less. When I asked why she said "you ferrang, you have money" I stopped eating at Topps when I reasoned it was pointless spending say 1500 baht on alcohol every night, when one is trying to save say 300 baht a day eating cheaply. Could not see the logic in it.

This is interesting. I checked into this place and checked out again 15mins later with full refund. I paid for the 750baht, top floor room. Not bad, but seen better. BIG PROBLEM - hygiene. example: Fan above bed - a visable THICK layer of dust. This made me feel sick, as I wanted to use it. I thought it might be representitive of the general cleaning standards, including the bed, so I checked out. The dust on the fan was not good enough. I know what you mean about the stairs. I don't expect the world for 750baht - but I expect a decent standard of cleanliness at all times All true and all in my own humble opinion

Hi Denis M You mentioned some guests use the Metropole's pool for 100 baht. Is it possible to use the Metropole's fitness gym and how much? If you don't know, any chance of picking up the phone and asking? Seriously considering your excellent eststablishment next year Thanks in advance

Cookie - I'll be looking forward to every update - really enjoyed that -
Ben says go to internet cafe on Soi 8 - after 11pm, 30 baht for one hour Laptop can be nicked by BG when asleep

Last Jan - BA and Qantas had a Jan sale, for flight booked between the 30th April and 31st July. Price about £450 including taxes, flying from Heathrow. For a 12 hour direct flight a very good deal - I advise all Brits to wait and see if the offer is repeated. Regular food and drinks on flight with good entertainment system. I'll be flying with Qantas again.

newbie34 Booking a room at the Queen Vic - is no guarantee. I viewed a room which I specifically wanted - paid my deposit and witnessed it being written into the book. Turned up on the day, only to be given another, inferior room - no explanation was offered - paid for two days but was so angry I only stayed on night. Just my personal experience and acknowledge it might not be typical.

Thanks - will try to remember when I am

Never realised BG's could spray the keys and get the pin? So how does that work - fingerprints? Is there anyway of stopping them - like pushing the buttons with the end of a pin? BTW - I viewed your rooms and liked then - the only thng which stopped me staying was the lack of in-room safes - for me the problem comes when returning with BG, after bar closes about 2am - what the hell can one do with ATM card, cash, watch? I don't see a way around this problem.
-
Tropical Bert's better rooms but saftey deposit boxes downstairs only - NO in room safes. No matter how hard I try - I cannot use saftey deposit boxes - problem is arriving back in room with BG, after bar has closed - this means sleeping with an unknown girl, with wallet, cash, camera, watch ect: at her mercy! I'd not be able to sleep!

Queen Vic - payed for two nights, stayed one and checked out! My own humble opinion. 1. Room smelt of cigarettes - although I acknowledge I'm sensitive to this - if this is an issue, consider alternatives? 2. Rooms cleanish but not perfect by a long way - bathroom is VERY basic - dirty bathroom tiles - looked like the bathroom was in dire need of a springclean - I am quite fussy concerning bathrooms - the Sabai Inn/Resort were very good in this respect. 3. Fire escape is an issue - it's metal ,solid and STEEP!- it's easy for someone to climb up and tap on the window - if this happens after pub closes, its possible to find yourself in a spot of bother - remember in Pattaya, 'no one can hear you scream!' You cannot place a price on a good hotel security team - when needed, they can save your bacon 4. After flying half way around the world to LOS, why live above a pub?? 5. Noisy! 6.Well kitted out rooms. 7. Darkish but so are many hotels! 8. Soi 6/1 is NOT quiet in the evening - my rrom faced this soi and the music from the bars opposite made rest impossible before 1am - 2am - not that most people would be in bed my 10pm but sometimes it's nice to have a nap! Reasonable value for 700 baht - however the Sabai Inn offers cleaner, quieter accomodation for the same price. However, I acknowledge many punters are comfortable in this enviroment, so each to his own!

Brawl with a Bahtbus driver
ben99 replied to comingtopattaya's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Just a thought - perhaps you accidently used one of the 100 baht (baht bus taxi's) without realising?? There is NO excuse for the violence though I'd be inclined to let the matter rest, providing you are not injured. He probably a downtrodden fellow, perhaps with a family to support? -
The Official BAHT Exchange Rate Discussion Thread!!!
ben99 replied to ben99's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Yes- when in Pattaya - I can confirm that when making withdrawals with my Nationwide card - I got very near the mid price - so today if in Pattaya, I might get 71.4. I also took £1000 in sterling travelers cheques - which were saved until the last two weeks before use - I also used the Nationwide for this service - phone the number on the website - the only charge is £3.50 delivery charge with NO commission - so for £1000 of TC's, the amount on your debit card would be £1003.50p. -
I note they refer to "liquids and gels" If I carried a cream (likeE45) I could claim it was neither - but that might get me slapped (again) and cause delay. But I would be correct!
