Sorry if this sounds off-topic. casper, seavilleplace does seem nice. The website does n't have the room rates quoted hence i wish to know if the room rate includes breakfast for two, if guest-friendly. I would give a try if the rate falls within my budget.Thanks.

Sounds like you will be right in the middle of the action. Last May, i did n't know that areca would be this good and hence stayed at a diff hotel. I,sure,have areca on my mind for the next trip. IMO, the rate is good for a nice hotel,with breakfast included. Whereever we choose to stay,we just need a girl-friendly hotel because we dont go to LOS for the temples. Do we? Just confirm if the areca is still totally girl-friendly.Have heard that they are now catering mainly for the family oriented tourists.

Don't get overdrunk & stay away from ladyboys. Also we've heard of police trying to fine newbies for smoking in public & throwing off cigi butts,recently. If you are a non-smoker then it does n't apply to u Dont argue with the thais and if u happen to be in any uneasy situation, just move on from there.Also to repeat, just dont flash your money out in public. Carry a photocopy of your passport & travel documents, just in case (not your originals). U'll feel easy,then. Enjoy your stay.

I see u have mentioned 1000 baht return to Bkk city. Please clarify and i'll be using ur service again,too,in the near future. Thanks.

One should appreciate the efforts taken by the BM cum barowner to improvise on customer service for which he seeks valuable input from other BMs. Definitely,NLD1 will be my stop for a few drinks and to check out the talent, on my next trip.

I'm in a dilemma to choose between the areca lodge & RG. Ofcourse the room rate now is 1350 baht at the areca for a double room(pool view) and at the RG i think it is 1400 baht if booked quoting the flb rate. I think the RG scores in the area where even 2 TGs can be taken & is guest-friendly too, but the brekkie is at an additional cost whereas at the areca it is included with the room rate. Mayb i'll have to pay extra for an additional girl (2nd) if taken in to the areca.

Good thread & i think every bar owner needs to learn customer service from the customers's point of view. For me,simply,crobe's post wins. I prefer bars to be hassle-free from LDs,primarily, like any other BM.

Is it close to NEP & wt will be the price range ? I donot wish to book in a expensive hotel going over 1600 baht & also prefer breakfast included in the room rate. Thanks again.
