There have been a few thunderstorms in the Pattaya area recently, but not much rain as far as I can tell. The last two nights on my way back to my condo after dinner I could see lightning all over the place. There was a little rain last night, but nowhere near enough to ease the water shortage.

The cafe at View Talay 2A was being cleaned this afternoon and you would not believe there was a water shortage the amount of water that was being used. But maybe the Thai papers follow the Thaksin line - i.e. there is no water shortage.

There has been flooding in Pattaya, two heavy rains while I have been here over the last 2 weeks.

TV is claiming that the water shortages are 'over', but I wonder if the people selling water to the hotels will be happy to return to their previous employment?

The true weather vane says water is back, you can wash your hands in the walking Street GO-GOs again!

The reservoirs are fuller than they were but enough to avert another shortage next year? :D :D

A bit of rain today, which must help a little bit.

I drove around the reservoir yesterday and its grown alot, I great sight, its at least 5 times bigger than a few months ago, its still only about a eighth of what it was but hopefully at this rate it will be back.

For those who never saw it, it was enormous a couple of years ago. :D

Good news the reservoir is filling up.

When i was in pattaya in july the water shortage was severe, i mean everywhere you looked there was a water truck refilling a hotel, bars etc.

Eneukman says there was some rain today and that can only be good news for everyone in pattaya.

:chogdee2

P.s For all of those lucky enough to be in pattaya right now i would like to say to you all "winter is slowly setting in over here in England and its getting cold"

I had to have my radiators on in my bedroom last night.

Brrr!!
