Lookin for cheap hotel (Beach Road)

Recommended Posts

For stays of a month (except peak season) I would suggest you would expect to pay around 550-600 per night.

Last time I stayed there it was for a month in June/July 05 and I beat them down to 550 per night.

To do this I threatened to check out if they did not oblige :thumbup

Be Firm Yet Fair With Them.

Also don't forget that the location of the J-House means that you shall keep public transport to a minimum.

If all else fails, there is always the Beachview on the corner of Beach Rd and Soi 2. It has gone downhill over the years, but still not a bad place

I think beach view had been closed and there is new expensive hotel on the same

place .

I agree with other posters, as much as I like Anna Jet as a bar the rooms are awful.

Sabai Inn, Soi 2, I minute walk from the beach at 700 B for a standard room is great value for money :wanker

What exactly do you expect at the cheap hotels?

Better than the quality at anna jet!!!

I stayed just round the corner between soi 7 and soi 8 on second road at a place called SIGGYS for a few nights during high season and paid 100 baht less than what anna and peter are charging for their grubby little rooms.

Ok SIGGYS is a bit of a dump IMO but it was 100 baht cheaper and the room was almost twice the size(and it had a proper bed, if a bit hard!!)

Just goes to show that you can get cheaper and better rooms by having a look around(in my case walking 50 yards)

there is queen victoria inn soi6 550-600bht a night.

it is a traditional englidh pub serves good old english food

I will always stay here now.

The top rooms are 750 baht a night, massive, clean and DVD player in the room that plays MP3's so get burning those discs.

The owner is friendly, and I am sure if you say you are staying for a month, he will give you a discounted rate.

Yes The Queen Pattaya can be had for 550 must of the year around and walk ins are no problem.

Avoid if you're a sun lover, as the pool is in the shade apart from very early in the morning.

About time I made a response - Anna and I own Anna Jet! I have tried to be honest about the rooms on the web site - but they aren't shite (I stay there).

Firstly lets respond to some of the comments:

1) The photos are of A10 - it is one of the rooms normally reserved for the girls - they sleep 3-4 to a room and they get a fridge, TV, en-suite etc - compared to their homes in Buri Nowhere it's luxury. These rooms don't have air-con or outside windows - they are cheaper but you have to be a real tight arse to pick one (unless you are lucky enough to be sharing it with the girls)

2) Security - All the air-con rooms now have in-room safes - we have also changed the locking system and put an automatic closer on the outside door.

3)Beds - we have bought new sprung mattresses for all the air-con rooms (actually we are still waiting for the last 2 to arrive).

That being said - they are still rooms over a busy bar - and I can't change that! It's a trade off.

-If you want to impress Bar Girls - don't stay at Anna Jet (they don't give a shit anyway - it just encourages them to up their expectations)

-If you want a quiet evening in, sipping cocoa and going to sleep at 10 - don't stay at Anna Jet (why are you in Pattaya anyway?) We turn our outside speakers off at 1am and since the landlord has the first floor it's his family who enjoy the late, late music (why not - we pay a fortune in rent and key money).

- If you want to do a quick short-time with the girl who shows you the room - stay at Anna Jet (you still have to pay bar however)

- If you like to Party Hard, take a girl upstairs for an hour and then come back to pick another before crawling to bed - stay at Anna Jet.

- If you never use the swimming pool, coffee-shop and shops selling Thai Silks and carved thingys and would prefer to keep your money for wine, women and song - stay at Anna Jet.

And if you choose not to stay with us - then that's fine - but I hope you'll join us in the bar - ask for me (Peter/Boss) and we'll share a few drinks together!
