Best Bands in Town

Flb has a great new band called the Rythmn Tracks. Filipino band with to good looking girl singers and a variety of music. What other places are there in Pattaya that have a good band to sit back and listen to. I know there is the Blues Factory and Lucifers but looking for other venues. Any one have any good choices?

I always enjoy the band/s in We Are The World Beer bar on beach road,between soi 7 and 8.

If you want to dance with your TG then try the Bamboo bar up near the enterance to Walking St, 2 bands nightly. It can get crowed in there late at night and doesn't have A/C. Also the Moon River Pub up on North Pattaya Rd. A/C in this place so it doesn't feel like a sauna if you dance and not crowded. Filipino band with 2 female singers. Zab at the enterance to Walking St use to have a band that I enjoyed, it included a brass section and a cute TG that played the electric fiddle and the lead singer was Jowell. I don't know where they are playing now.

I have to echo Emil's comments on Zab; it's one of my favorite places for live music, and the food ain't bad, either. Emil's right about the girl with the fiddle, too; she's terrific, as is the whole band.

 

I also like Hot Tuna Bar on WS. They have a couple of cover bands that are pretty good. One of them does a mean version of Deep Purple's "Highway Star", and the guitarist is great.

Hot Tuna bar have got the original band (that went to play at the Lam Morrisons rock pub) back, they are good, at about 11ish their other band comes on.

Tony's of course has a band as does Rolling Stone 2 bar, Zab is an ok place depending on what style of music you are looking for.

Leo's blues bar in Nakula is also worth a look.

Basically I reckon it depends on the style and quality of music you are looking for, Pattaya caters for most tastes.

The piano guy in the pattaya park tower restuarant does some "rat pack" style stuff.

At bottom of soi2 on beach rd there is a "metal framed type" restuarant (michelle from poppys bar now sings there)

 

The bar right across from blues factory also have a band playing(although nobody seems to listen)

Its my understanding that the new FLB band came from the bar for Thai Garden Resort. That band was very good and I went out of my way to watch them play.

 

I hate to see a band put out on the street but hiring this new band was one of the smartests things Martin has done. They are that good. Martin, I hope you will be able to tolerate me salivating over the singers.

Can anyone tell me if the Climax bar on walking street is still going. Pete the lead guitarist gotta be one of the best in Pattaya.

climax band/ bar has long gone now from walking st although i believe they are now in the "dj" bar just behind we are the world/centerpoint 7/8.

 

re:lucifers:

 

the band at the front section of lucifers does normal pop/rock stuff whilst the disco rear section is indeed american hiphop/rap. They are still a bonafide band tho and the OP didnt specify the music style!
