Board seems to be going along fine. You takes advantage of the free advertising, you take the risk of being critiqued. Mulphy couldn't take it, PSP seems to be doing very well under more of an onslaught. The board is here to service the members, not members' bars. (I think.....)

If any of you has ever actually been to Thailand, which I doubt, I'll bet you've never seen a bill with four figures in it in LOS in your lives, unless it was on Rightsaid's bill who'd just bought you a (not reciprocated) round.

Rather, and the not insubstantial number that specifically came and retired here for that reason too. I could afford to live in the Uk, but would rather not give money away unnecessarily.

I have to say I stand by what I said earlier about loyalty cards. I don't like them myself, I find them more of a hassle than anything else, in fact I prefer to pay the extra rather than have to carry the damn things around. And that's when they DO work. Most of the time they don't, in Thailand generally and Pattaya pussy bars especially. It's almost inevitable that somebody will produce his VIP card in the distant future -- say, oh, next month -- and be told "no have." A girl will refuse to accept it out of fear that the cost will be cut from her wages -- a HIGHLY rational concern in this town -- and a customer will get his nose out of joint.

 

I remain skeptical, but as I said earlier in this thread, if anybody can pull it off it's Misty's. The wait staff at Misty's are the best in town, bar none. They are solid workers and consummate professionals (even the ones I feel up for lady drinks).

 

As for living in Thailand, as guys like Bruiser know (thanks mate), there's a difference between "scraping by" in Thailand (there are 60 million Thai citizens doing that right now) and LIVING in LOS.

Nope, sorry, Singha is not fit for human consumption. You can, however, get a bottle of always cold and refreshing Asahi. I'd tell you how much it is, but we both know you can't afford the joint, so I won't bother.
