Hi

Can anyone who has stayed or is staying now at this new hotel give me any

information about it as i'm thinking of staying here in September.

I would like to know all usual, girl friendly, lifts, any construction work going on,

payments to hotel, location, and more.

Many thanks in advance.

I had a tour of it when I was there last month as it looked good on the website and the web price of 1199 a night looked good value.

The rooms are really nice and spacious with very large bathroom with separate shower.Room had safe, robe and slippers, large fridge and big balcony overlooking front.

Decided against it as location was not good for me, a fair walk to get to Central or Second Road and down some dark lanes at night, also the pool is ground level at front of hotel and is covered by a large awning so doesn't get the sun.

If you had your own transport, would be a viable option,as I say the rooms are really nice for the price.

"Quote"

* Booking must be made at least ONE month (30days) in advance * Requires full pre-payment upon confirmation of booking * Credit card will be debited at the time of booking for the whole period of stay * Credit card invalid is not accepted * No refunds are provided for any amendments and/or cancellations * Free daily breakfast and internet access in room

This is hardly a good way to get people stay here with these payments methods, i find this hard to

take paying up front, with NO amendments or cancellations aloud and NO refunds.

The above quote is from there website

I stay on the end of april at this new hotel, 5 minutes walk to Central road or about 10-15 minutes to soi 7-8, really large room, bulding next door is not finished but without work, look like an extension of the Citin. Pool on ground floor in front of thr reception, good food on coffee shop and wifi everywhere. A good choice. I think if you go directly to the hotel reception the price will be about 1200 bahts, i pay 1400 on the end of april. I made some small video on

This full payment in advance etc bollox would be a deal breaker I feel for 99% of prospective clients especially as this joint is newly opened and not very well situated! Just out of curiousity is this type of regulation worldwide or simply confined to LOS?

The OP was selective in his quote. What he quoted were the Terms & Conditions for one type of discounted promotional rate that has to be booked 30 days in advance. From what I can see on the Citin Web site, that particular promotion (Early Bird) isn't available right now. Other promotional rates are available and they allow changes/cancellation and don't require pre-payment.

Many hotels have "early bird" rates for those who book and pay in advance. They are often about 10% lower than the next cheapest price level.

I stayed at the Citin for six nights in May. I had booked the Early Bird rate a month prior to my arrival, but the charge didn't show up on my credit card, even though I had received an email confirming my reservation at the Early Bird rate. I emailed them about it and they essentially answered, "Don't worry about it. You'll be charged at the end of your stay." And that's how it went down. I paid in cash when I checked out.

Those strict Terms & Conditions cited in the OP are most likely used in a "worst case" scenario and pre-payment required only when there is a lot of demand for the discounted rates.

You can see some pics from Citin in my trip report here.

  • 1 month later...

I had booked this hotel weeks before I arrived Pattaya, with the hopes it would be a good place. I arrived at noon and was told my room would be ready at 2PM. Now I can wait, it wasn't a big deal, as I used the lobby PC to catch up on e-mail.

During this time I watched 2 unhappy customers debate "over-charges" with the front desk. It seemed the charge for beer from the mini-bar was at the steep price of 500 Baht/bottle. It was a dispute that lasted for about 1 hour and they still didn't get it settled accordingly.

The person in my room had checked out at 12:30PM and for some apparent reason I had to have this room and no other. I asked at 1:30PM if the room was ready and it was not, so I continued to wait. It's now 2PM, room still not ready, I continue to wait. At 2:25 PM, I asked again and it's not ready .

I asked for my bags, as they had them behind the desk and she seemed confused at my request. I was leaving, to find another hotel. Now all of the sudden, they have a different room for me on a higher floor, as my original room is not cleaned as of yet. I asked if this room was vacant upon my arrival and they said it was. Now why wasn't I given this room at noon...?

I walked out, as I had waited far longer than I should have. This hotel has customer service issues, not only at check in, but with other charges.

It may be one to stay away from at this time
