EVA Premium Laurel

Recommended Posts

Saw Cheshire Toms post on the EVA offer and looking for next April.

I can get the Premium Laurel from LHR to BKK for just less than £1200 compared to Evergreen Deluxe for £623.

Have flown Evergreen once and was impressed as I normally fly cattle class.

Is it worth paying the extra for a one off? I know I could get many many s/t for the difference or upgrade my hotel but business/1st class is a bit special.

The promo on the website shows the Laurel in a 777 and I think the plane from LHR is a 747.

Hoping to book by the end of the week so any opinion is welcome.

Baz, if you like Evergreen Deluxe you'll love Premium Laurel - I've upgraded with points to this class a couple of times and it is great. Electric chairs, all the legroom in the world, multi-course meals, wine lists, etc....I'd fly it all the time if I could afford to. Doing the currency conversion, you're able to fly Premium Laurel from LHR to BKK for only a couple of hundred CDN$ more than I am paying for Evergreen from Vancouver - go for it!! I wish they'd give us a break from Vancouver sometime, but they only seem to bring out deals for Economy class from there.

Premium Laurel is good escpecially if you use points to upgrade.

Love the lounge with the self serve bar in SFO and TPE.

If you go in that class make sure you pre order your meal on line.

They have quite a variety of meals including lobster and such.....

IMHO I would stick with elite/evergreen deluxe class unless money is no object.

Im extremely tall but elite is good enough and not cramped.

I agree with you but with packhike also. That is my January plan. Will be my first time on EVA business class.

Don't know where your'e flying out of but make sure your

taking a 777 plane. The 747 business class kind of sucks.

No entertainment system and such although I did find the

seats a little bit wider on the 747. Still much better on the 777.

The difference in price is more than I pay for a hotel room for a month.

If money's no object do it, otherwise put up with a less comfortable 12 hours each way and spend your money in Patts.

Very good point brian-difference between premium laural and economy is what 800 quid ??

Thats a lot of coolies, bar fines etc and you can still overtake the buggers when they get off the plane before immigration if you move quick enough.............
