Review - New Vt6 Condo From Dancewatchers.com

Recommended Posts

Dancewatchers.com added a new condo to their inventory at View Talay 6 (next to Central Festival Mall, one of the best locations in Pattaya) just in time for my trip in December. A buddy & I were happy dealing with Dancewatchers for a previous trip, and I posted a review that discussed what I considered the various advantages of dealing with them (American husband of owner, could pay with credit card, etc) so I won’t repeat that here and will just focus in the new condo. Below is a link to my previous review of Dancewatchers if you want to see those details:

"Review: 1 Month Condo From Dancewatchers

excellent, professional experience - we'll rent again"

Room 17-610 was a high-quality studio on the 17th floor facing North (towards the mall). The key things I liked:

* Very high quality furnishings throughout (kitchen, shower, washing machine)

* Large mirrors facing the bed

* Bed & linen were softer & *very* high quality (like Westin hotels “Heavenly Bed”)

* Extra soundproofing in room (though you still heard some construction noise at times)

* A proper desk, office chair & *encrypted* WiFi internet (direct ADSL connection also avail)

* Internet was fast enough to do Vonage phone calls reliably, but there were 2 outages for a few hours each during my 3-week stay (apparently these hit much of Pattaya & Jomtien due to problems with the ISP)

* High quality, large LCD TV (1080p) with VGA & HDMI connections for your computer

* Wood floors were a nice change from the usual tile

* Very good (and clean) air conditioning

* Great lighting for pics of the girls (18 lights & bedside dimmer controls)

* Much smaller electronic gate key than thick credit cards ones from other rooms

* For fellow “clean-freaks”, the vinyl couch & chair allowed easy wipedowns

* I never used the washing machine; instead I used the unlimited laundry deal from Honey’s in the lobby

One tip is that the modern electric stove that has a “child-safe lock” feature that is easy to accidentally bump (the lock icon). It took half an hour with Google to finally figure out how to unlock the stove again (hold down the lock & power buttons at the same time for 4-5 seconds).

All of my pics of the room are cluttered with lovely TGs in various states of undress  , so I borrowed some pics (with permission) from the Dancewatchers.com website. Bottom line, this is my new favorite condo that will be my first pick for future trips.

Looks very nice.

Direct ADSL connection is a plus for me.

What was the costs?

Agreed.......I looked all over the Dancewatchers website and never could come up with any pricing structure.

If the OP could give a range of prices, that certainly would help save condo seekers time and frustrations trying to figure out what the rental rates are and save time for Dancewathers, having to respond to "how much $$ for # xx room" inquires.

I made special arrangements for this trip, so best if you did check the Dancewatchers.com website for current pricing.

I just did a quick check myself and they do list pricing & discounts for longer stays for the room.

If I wasn't on a budget for my upcoming trip I would have booked with DW again. He was great to work with and the rooms are a very good value.

Honey was a sweetie. She took good care of me when I was there. Prices were higher than other laundries but the convenience and personal service were second to none.

Would you be so kind as to post that pricing link here please.

I can't seem to find it......

38,000 per month or 2,300 per night.

Hes taking the piss at those prices.

?

I think you need to start huffing higher quality glue ... :allright :D

The website says 25,000/month with nightly rates starting at 1,300

And I forgot to mention in my OP that the curtains also have blackout liners, which was a very nice touch when you're adjusting to the jet lag.

I cut and pasted it from DWs website http://www.dancewatchers.com/Luxury_View_T...views.html.html

Admit it. You didnt post the prices as you knew that BMs all over the wortld would spit their coffee

You've listed the pricing for a 1 bedroom 96 sqM unit. :allright

25K/month, 1300Baht/night is the right pricing for the unit pictured.

I don't think trip reports & reviews qualify as "spam" on a monger's board.

Though I was concerned when I didn't see you reply to my earlier Whitehouse review thread that you didn't love me anymore

But I'm now reassured with the knowledge that my reviews continue to get your panties in a twist & trigger such entertaining Tourette syndrome responses that give me the warm 'n fuzzies and proper motivation to diligently post reviews from my future trips as well. 2guns :angry2

Get real mate, adjust to the jet lag with beer. :D

More accurately the liners are necessary due to the strange hours mongers keep, breakfast at 2pm, first beer at 7pm, off to bed 3-4 am. :D

As you know, I was suspicious the first time you spammed Dancewatchers condos last year. Partly because you seemed to join to do so. However I did apologize at the time and give you the benefit of the doubt. Now your at it again  Putting the price in the OP would have saved BMs valuable time :D

Is it noisy from the shopping centre extractors? Whats the view like?

Thanks. :D

I didnt read the blurb, I just looked on Wetwillies link at the 1st price. The price seemed like DS usual pricing as Id been offered a studio unit in Jomtien, for silly money.

No, putting the price in the OP makes it an advertisement instead of a review.

Any BMs interested are perfectly capable of looking at DWs website to get pricing & all the other details

(well, MOST BMs at least are capable 2guns )

And yes, your teethmarks are still visible on my ass from your warm welcome earlier this year when I posted my first review 2guns

A website isnt going to tell any negatives. But I thought a BM might share them with his fellow Bms 2guns

No worries, I guess Im time wasting as I have no intentions of paying that for a shopping centre view condo  Good luck to DW, he is marketing at BMs with a TG angle. Seems to work and he is getting over the going rate for his places.

I was looking at the VT6 and was looking at the dancewatchers site for a potential rental.

One question - do you have any view from the balcony? ie is the 17th floor high enough not to be looking directly at the side of the mall. I'd like to think so, but the lack of any balcony photo on the dancewatcher site for the Nakula facing units has me thinking the view does not exist(or is very poor).

BTW another site for VT6 is www.condo6.com But the rentals there seem to be more long term, and without the personal touches that DW seems to have.

No pics from the balcony view since I never spent any time out there. But here's one showing the balcony with built in ceiling fan & electrical outlets; the only times I went on it was to reel in curious TGs who wanted to see the view.

You do have a limited view of the ocean & city when you're right next to the railing, but if the view is a priority you probably want a condo on the south side of the building (which Dancewatchers also has). With the addition of the hotel on top of the mall, I doubt even the top floors on the north side have a decent view these days.

WOW! Just out of curiosity I looked up my report from this time last year about my first stay at a Dancewatchers condo:

"Review: 1 Month Condo From Dancewatchers.com"

Even assuming that 1,000 of those views are from Obsession, frantically monitoring the thread moment by moment to hysterically flame any BM posting any positive comments, that STILL leaves over 2,256 views and I think makes that thread the winner as far as what other BMs considered the most interesting/helpful thread I've posted.

Just out of curiosity Obsession, have you EVER posted ANY thread that ANYONE found even slightly helpful? Any reviews, pics of cute TGs, anything?

Or does the cacophony of voices in your head from the competing bundle of neuroses attempting to pass as your "personality" just limit you to your Allah Akbar flaming rants?

I can only guess from your infantile theatrics that you view yourself as a competitor to Dancewatchers and also rent condos. If that's the case, why don't you just ask some of your past tennants to post some pics & reviews (making the hazardous assumption you actually have any satisfied customers) instead of being such a whiny little bitch? Do you rent any condos in VT6?
