Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

The Empress is girl friendly....some reviews would be handy

You say it's girl friendly, presumably there is no joiner fee ?

Thanks everyone for the responses to my query. As a matter of interest has anyone been to the reception and asked for a tour of the rooms before booking in and if so what sort of response did they get.

One other point is that I note the Sabai Inn for as low as 720 per night without breakfast.

I also note that the Empress is 1250

Is it possible to get these rates by calling or are they cheaper if you use the internet?

By the way, can any guest use any of the pools?

Have stayed at Sabai lodge a lot, last trip stayed at pasedena Lodge for a week , decide to switch Hotels so i went and checked out both Sabai Empress and the Sabai Wing Rooms of Sabai Lodge (same hotel , different reception) both times they were very happy to shows us the different types of rooms they had as well as the facilities, pool, gym etc

I have just booked my flight and am arriving in late July for 22 days and have just emailed Sabai lodge asking for a bit better than the advertised for the deluxe A large pool rates.

I know Sabai inn guests can use the lodges pools , but if your staying at the Empress which has its own pools , im not sure if youcan use the lodges or resorts pools.

I see now the Sabai Inn has a banner in front of the hotel advertising rates of 700 baht per night. In the high season these same rooms were over 1,000 baht per night and I think that this is one of the best hotel deals in town at the moment.

I stayed at the Sabai Empress for 2 nights recently, and the bed was hard as fuck. The first night I slept well only because I was dead tired, but 2nd night couldn't fall asleep at all. Pretty nice room though, although with no balcony, that kinda sucks. I like having a balcony. I probably won't stay there again, many other hotels to check out.

When I stayed at the Sabai lodge last Nov (Dolphin cottage rooms) I saw the 8oo baht signs. So when I decided to go back in Feb I enquired about the cheap rate. I just assumed this would be for their lowest priced room in their room rate table.

WRONG.

A few emails went back and forth and I came to understand that these rooms are NOT on their rate table or even mentioned in their room specs. They are in fact the rooms by the walkway next to the carpark.

The carpark is a busy place day and night I I suspect you would hear car doors slamming all night. The rooms are along the breezeway between reception and the hotel bar, and would have guests and staff using them 24 hrs a day.

I could be wrong, the rooms may be ok, we would need a review from someone.

I ended up staying at BJ's in Feb and have booked their for 12 weeks in July.

Yes they are for the car park rooms, and I agree they would be noisy but not as Noisy as places in Soi LK or Soi bakhou i have stayed at , with Motorbikes and high pitched squeels from the girls etc

I booked this week and got the Deluxe B Large Pool Room for 1150b per night, advertised for 1350 on website. have booked for 8 nights then off to Angels for five nights before coming back for seven more at Sabai Lodge

Thanks for all the good advice and info chaps. As a matter of interest I decided in the end to stay at the Sabai Inn and this has turned out to be quite a good choice. They are building a new hotel on the beach Road side but as I am on the other there is zero noise. The internet rates as shown on their web site are just a current as a walk in at reception.

I believe the new project being built on the Beach Road side of Sabai Inn will be serviced apartments.

If anyone notices contact info or a website address on their signage I'd be greatful if you passed it on to me.

Emailed the Welkom Inn twice but they were useless.

Thanks,

Walt

I have been trying to find more info on this place and will post it if I find it. Each day seems to see more and more progress on the place and it looks well advanced.

Just got back from a months stay at the Sabi Inn. The new buiding next door seems to be almost complete. They seem to just be finishing off the lower front of the building, final cosmetic touches. They do have a sign near the top of the building, which says SOI 2 INN. Can't find anything on the internet about it as yet.

Sorry guys but I still have no info on the soi 2 Inn but I can tell you that all the scaffolding came down this morning. There are also a shop and a massage place opened in the foyer area.
