Hi,

Well a weekend of hope for those who backed Man City for the Prem despite them being lucky to beat a good Blackpool side. It's nice to see managers who have a go at the big teams like Holloway and Di Matteo instead of sending a 2nd 11 to Old Trafford like McCarthy. West Brom are proving a different team under his management and gaveMan Utd a scare. Everton prove too strong against a Liverpool team who look out of sorts. The gooners fail to impress against the Brummies but at least take 3 points. Chelsea have to settle for 1 against Villa who seem to be a bogie team for them.

Hi,

Rooney stays at United despite all the ballyhoo. Thought he was tired of carrying them on his own. Wonder what's the story behind it all ? Looks to me like either the Glazers or Fergie have to go for Rooney to sign that contract. Interesting times for Man Utd fans!

Huh :whistling:

I think it's just that Rooney has gone off the rails. He was pissed at England fans during the world cup and is pissed at the media, just as Ashley Cole was when he was caught. His only way was down if he left Man U and stayed in England.

Hi,

Arsenal are impressive in defeat of Man City. Might challenge Chelsea for the title? Gary Neville very lucky to be playing for United and so avoid a red card. West Ham look very poor and those of us who like to see them in the Premiership are getting worried. Torres looking a bit sharper and if that proves to be the case Liverpool should climb the table.

The game was ruined by the early sending off. Even then it took Arsenal ages to score.

Torres won't last the season, unfortunately.

Hi,

Rooney situation is weird also. Will he play again for Man Utd ? Barcelona or Real could afford to play him just in La Liga till end of season.

Hi,

A profitable weekend for most gamblers on the Prem I'd say as the Big 4 all win albeit all of them struggled till the last minutes. Newcastle have a great win against Sunderland and look a team with good spirit. The same cannot be said for Man City who seem to be having problems in the team spirit dept. I think the overall standard is better than the last few years as Wolves played well to beat them.

They ain't the same team without Tevez. If he is out for a while, they will miss a champions league place.

I voted for Man United :hairout ,can't bring myself to vote for Chelsea :whistling: even though I think they will win........probably.

Hi,

Tevez return leads to a much improved display and City are back in the race. A good weekend for the North as they beat Cockneys in major games. Torres looks back in form as Liverpool get back in the race for the Premiership.

Now Torres is scoring again. I wonder how much each goal has cost LPL ? As much as each Rooney goal costs Man.U ?

Weird weekend again. Chelski not scoring and Arsenal getting beat by a Newcastle they had hammered recently.

Will be watching the Manchester derby tomorrow. Should be a great game.

Hi,

Torres looks great when he is on form. Good performance by Brentford in League Cup.

Hi,

I think Mancini was determined not to lose this one.

Hi,

. Good performance by Brentford in League Cup.

We were unlucky. 90+ minute equalizer. Now we know how teams playing Man. U. feel with those 'Ferggie minutes' at the end

.

We have won 3 out of 4 penalty shoot outs. Everton- L.Orient- Swindon. Lost to Birmingham City. :chogdee

I heard a rumour that the Everton goalkeeping coach was giving advise to B.City counterpart about our number 3, who scored against them in a penalty shoot out. His penalty kicks go straight at the keeper, who normally dives away from it. The Birm' goalie was prepared for it and saved it by standing still. Premier league snides !

At least they were worried enough to study us for a shootout ! :grin-jump

Hi,

Fair enough. Best not let your heart rule your head when laying your money down. I'm shouting for Villa today but have a double on Man City and West Ham. Feel Hammers must beat Blackpool if they are going to rise up the table and Mancini will have to play more attacking football today or fans will revolt.

Hi,

Seemed a great atmosphere at that game.

Hi,

Arsenal are the only winners of the Top 4 and move into second place. Chelsea seem out of sorts but are short most of their top players. Well done to Sunderland. Villa unlucky not to beat the Mancs!

It's amazing how much Wembley Stadium, resembled Griffin Park on the pitch last night.

That was stroke of genius by the manager, to get Gerrard to fake an injury, so he could bring Crouch on to score in about 90 seconds of replacing him. :clap1
