Anyone know the timetable for the bus station at patts for the patts to bkk bus and how often does it go?

Not sure about the regular/express bus but here's a link to the Bell bus schedule. They will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Bell bus at the pattaya bus station. Cost is 350 bht and leaves three times a day. 9:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 5:00 pm.

I took the regular/express bus years ago and I think one leaves every couple of hours from the pattaya bus station and it costs around 120 bht?

 

If you take the regular/express bus make sure you take the express bus, the non-express bus will stop at small towns along the way and add hours too your trip.

 

Also, you should probably buy your ticket from the ticket window. When I did it years ago there were guys standing around trying to sell tickets on private bus lines to bkk that were more expensive.

You have the minibus option too.

There is by example a "station" on Pattaya Tai, 1-3 minibus/hours, 100 baht to Bangkok Victory Station.

It been about 3 years since I last took the bus, then they were leaving every 30 minutes. They had busses that went to the Mochit and Ekamai stations so make sure you purchase the desired ticket. Also if you show up a few minutes for let say the 7 AM bus it could be sold out and you'll have to wait for the next one.

Sometimes when I have been staying in Bangkok I have caught a bus down to Pattaya for a night out then returned on one of the early buses.... they start running again at 04:30!

I wonder why bother going to Bangkok, if you plan on getting up so early. Or perhaps you never went to bed!

Last time I did it, I didn't quite make the 04:30 bus..... it was more like 06:30 when I staggered away from a New Plaza bar and caught a motorbike-taxi up to the bus station

 

Once had to be woken up after the bus had parked up at Ekamai!!!
